The BSP album was streaming on the Guardian last week, it was very dull on first listen. Will give it a few more goes now it's on Spotify.
Just listened. Maybe it's a grower, but on first listen its their weakest album

I think it's phenomenal, obviously going to take a few more listens for it to fully settle in but I've already pre-ordered and cannot wait for it.
The reviews have been varied. From what I can tell they've tried to make it a difficult listen.
The new Edwyn Collins album is poptastic BTW!

Agree with you there mate, great avatar btw. Also Foxygen were mentioned in this thread they've recently cancelled their Cluny gig which is a shame as me and a few others we're planning on going.

And yeah it's a shame, cancelled to protect the 'creative health of the band'. Weird one! They had a meltdown at SXSW and ended up asking to fight someone from the crowd.

Aye I saw a clip of them at SXSW sure they thought they were at a Pitchfork event or some other music company and were about to bad mouth them then realised he was at SXSW.

Arbutus are knocking out some great stuff lately. Have you heard TOPS? They made one of my AOTY last year. Bizarrely I saw a copy for sale in HMV Newcastle last month on vinyl! There was hardly anything left on the shelf other than that, wish I'd bought it now. :-(
