My brother's just released an album which is well worth a listen if you like paul weller, motown, that kind of thing. you can listen to some tracks for free on his website

Lies is an absolutely sublime track, one of the best I've heard this year. Cracking album in general I reckon.

The singles are all good, just not keen on the rest. The bloke who sings should never sing again, poor IMO. Just leave it to her.

On the way to see Withered Hand now, haven't seen him before so looking forward to it! Canny line up in the Cluny 1 tonight as well with Nadine Shah and The Lake Poets.
 
Just listening to Crystal Fighters second album now, only heard the singles really.

one of the most underrated bands around at the minute.

Yeah I gave it a go today as well, really enjoyed it, surprisingly! It tails off towards the end a bit but still very enjoyable.

The new album leaves me confused and slightly angry, but that may be down to my age. As a band, they're easy to admire and appreciate but difficult to love.
 
Downloaded Cults' new album 'Static' tonight and it's brilliant. I'll be honest, I'd never heard of them until Lauren Laverne played their latest single of 6music this morning.

Disclosure and Chase n status albums two of the best so far.

Agree with others saying The xx are amazing but Coexist was released last year.
