How much was Ellis worth please remind me, and that went very well
Why does that have any relevance?
Just because one billionaire fails doesn't mean they all will.

Having a plan to put money into be successful is infinitely times better than scrapping around hoping to 'luck' into success.
the football industry is one like no other
Look at our prior appointments - many came from other clubs with a poor record and they did terribly here - Congerton, Bain....

@HantsPilgrim: Sunderland fans: Do you remember Boston being in League Two? And then finding themselves in the Northern Premier League after nearly going bust? Yeah, Jim Rodwell was largely responsible. All the best!

 Sweet Jesus. He sounds a belter.
Watching all these events unfolding with us and the mags simultaneously, I'm almost hoping football doesn't start again

 aye same, ever

Sunderland. Donald bringing in Jim Rodwell in a senior exec role. So that doesn’t suggest a sale any time soon. Rodwell ex Scunthorpe.
My gut feeling has always been he has no intention of selling anyway, least not until.we are one season into the championship

Sunderland AFC, six times champions of England, two time FA Cup winners, top ten performing English clubs in history, being warned by Boston United supporters about the future of our club because we’ve appointed someone who wasn’t competent enough to run their club and manage their relatively modest expectations successfully.

And we’ve people, supporters and club reporters no less, saying ‘give him a chance’. It’s a sad, sad state of affairs. Got our club back though

To complement the blokes from f***ing Whitehawk and Eastleigh in the top jobs

Scunthorpe man

No disrespect to them as a football club but if this is how Donald thinks we should be moving then we are screwed.

Complete small time thinking.

We gave Josy a chance. Will Grigg a chance. Parkinson a chance. Stew and Charlie a chance. James Vaughan a chance. Djilibodji a chance. Gareth Hall a chance. Jack Ross a chance.

if there’s one thing we’re good at, it’s giving chances.

I’d like to think we’ve learned from those chances and can now spot failure on the horizon
Exactly the whole shitshow is embarrassing beyond belief Donald can go and get fucked.

Do you think this means changes ahead or no changes ahead? My instinct is that this is ahead of an agreed investment of some kind, others think the opposite. Definitely not an indication Donald and Methven are leaving of course.

That must be rubbish because I heard that Jim Rodwell had amazing references.

I wonder what this means for Dave Jones and Tom Sloanes as non exec directors too. Haven’t heard much from either of them aside Jones doing former player interviews which I’m assuming isn’t within his remit as a non exec director
