Sounds like no chance of a sale any time soon. No one would want the current owner making major appointments like that, and presumably the bloke wouldn't be jumping at the chance to come if he thought he might be straight out later. That aside, I hope he does well, we've needed a bit more structure for a while and he must be an improvement on having Donald making all the major decisions
who cares? Football is unlikely to survive beyond the next 18 months so it’s academic
I’m bored. I’ve run out of things to do. Just wondered if this place was still open for business or furloughed offWhy are you on a pure football forum if you think football won't survive 18 months and that every topic is thus academic? Seems a waste of your time
His track record is... 'close personal friend of Charlie Methven'.His track record looks thoroughly uninspiring.

He’s off to a bad start with his name.Been busy all day and just managed to read through this thread.

If we were called I Huntley, J Saville or P Sutcliffe he’d probably be given more grace by a lot of our supporters
We have gone from three mega rich men buying the club to appointing a nobody as CEO who failed in his remit at his previous club you could not make it up the sooner that clown SD f off the betterHuge for Scunthorpe. Way less than our FD, never mind CEO.
Nothing, I'd have thought. What he will do isn't done by non-execs anyway. It means the whole board (including Donald) shouldn't need to get mixed up in day-to-day running, and do the more strategic stuff a board should be doing. I'd expect Rodwell to be made a director of SAFC, but not Sunderland.
That's not fair. It wasn't just his previous club.......We have gone from three mega rich men buying the club to appointing a nobody as CEO who failed in his remit at his previous club you could not make it up the sooner that clown SD f off the better
