Just look at the replies from the Scunthorpe fans when they announced the news. What an underwhelming/ scarily tinpot appointment

To be fair, I see he came 3rd in Britain’s Brainiest Footballer in 2002. Also sounds like he’s university educated, maybe Stewy has uncovered the next Daniel Levy.

All just a grim reminder of the level we’re now at, feels very painful in comparison to what’s happening up the road.
I'd rather stay skint under incompetent management than be used to sportswash the Saudi regime . I know they hate Ashley but they've got no shame. Ignore the public beheading lads : we might sign Julian Draxler

Davison and methven role haven’t been replaced, not their salaries, this is hardly a ground breaking appointment, in fact as he has come from such a stalwart and giant (no disrespect intended) of a league 2 club it looks and smell like we are a tinpot as ever

Rodwell is a replacement for Davison, who was MD. The implication of him being CEO is that Donald will become chairman, rather than executive chairman, ie stepping back from the day to day. When things get back to normal, I'd expect Rodwell to appoint someone to head up the marketing side.

Had a look on Wikipedia so don’t know the circumstances of the clubs he was working for or what his role was he was at Notts county from February 2010 and left for Scunthorpe in march 2015.

Their league finishes during his time:

notts county: L1 - 19th/7th/12th/20th/21st(relegated)

Scunthorpe: L1 - 7th/3rd/5th/23rd(relegated)

Not exactly an on field record that gives me confidence but hoping he contributes positively nonetheless.

"I employed Jim to take us to the Championship and get us ready for our journey into the new stadium, to build a backroom staff that could support this move and hopefully establish ourselves in the second tier." If this was his brief how an earth did he get another job??

He resigned at Boston as well because of how bad it went.

Was he 'the outstanding candidate' ? Like the manager apt smacks at small time and cheap, look at the 'lack of success' that comes with him. SD hasn't got the balls to actively run the club now that he's lost CM so needs another 'fall guy' while the club just muddles about in L1. We are destined to stay there for a long time and are simply trying to cover expenses and protecting SD's pockets
