It looks like an AI mashup. Either that or someone’s just rewatched the London 2012 opening ceremony.

People living, working and spending their money in the city 365 days a year will always be better than a few 5aside pitches next to a stadium which is used once a fortnight. There's plenty of other spaces to build a few 100 houses. Those few 100 people over a year aren't suddenly going to have the town economy booming by going out every day spending money in town.
Yet if there was a huge hub that attracted 100s of extra people a day spending money, on top of 1,000s on match days being offered more to do. That along with other events during the year then overall the hub would generate more money for our local economy as some people will also be going into town and vice versa.
Mags bend any story to fit them the tossers!Mags annoyed that it’s another stadium with a bigger capacity than their stadium. Honestly all they are arsed about is looking like a massive club. Proper tin pot.

The bottom tier needed demolished and rebuilt due to structural defectsDidn't they have sections of the stadium closed and about 10k empty seats when we played them recently?![]()

Makes sense if they’re thinking Birmingham won’t be short of big events and concerts. Because it won’t.Looking at the plans it sounds more like a multi purpose stadium than a football ground.
I worry for Birmingham mind, the only way they fill that ground is to pump it full of tourists and day trippers and even they wont want to watch Championship football. If they get into the Premier League, once the stadium new novelty wears off, they wont fill 62k+ for a midweek game against Burnley in December they'll be lucky to get 45k.
I imagine the capacity will reduce if plans ever make it to build stage.
Supporting the roof and using them for air ducts, ventilation purposes. Their uses are twofold in essence, and incorporating their industrial past. The area it’s to be built on is awful, makes Gaza Strip look posh, so at least it regenerates a shit tip.Why all the chimneys?
I assume it is a nod to an industrial past but it looks a bit overkill having that many.
I wonder if there is any practical use behind them or is it cosmetic only. Maybe they are supporting the roof or maybe the directors lounge has a massive log burner.
Interesting ill give them that.

Get the point on build it they will come, however I do think going from 16k averages few seasons ago to £62k is a big ask, and London is a different beast with tourists for West Ham etc , I’m sure the billionaires know what they doing thouSAFC situated in a far smaller City than Birmingham were getting 20000 at Roker before moving too and filling a 42500 stadium nigh on 30 yrs ago when football was nowhere near as big as it is nowadays. I don’t remember it needing tourists to sel it out either. People all ower the country were laughing at the idea of building a 42500 seater stadium for a second flight team back then including a lot in Sunderland itself.
Some of whom may well be amongst the regulars on here who were telling those of us who knew better that WHU had no need for 60000+ seats anarl.
