NEPL 2022

Lanchester had a live steam for the full game
And they have now the camera behind the wicket ends - it was really annoying when they had it at cover earlier in the season.
Just watching the Wood spell - the scorers in the new Lanchester scoring hut are just about audible on the video, and their response to Greg Patterson's attempts to deal with Wood's first few balls are highly entertaining [4.46.30 in]

Wood currently bowling. Looks about as ridiculous as you would expect a bloke bowling 90mph at club cricketers.
A lad didn’t turn up for us on saturday so was drafted into ones, all because I got there early to watch the new pro, we’re at Ashington this week, I’ll be making sure I’ll be there at 15.15 !!

Big game this weekend at the top of the table as South North play Burnmoor. You'd have to think that if South North won, then the league would be pretty much over as this is the last weekend of red ball games. The orange ball games only allow for a maximum of 20 points and it's therefore a lot more difficult to play catch up. A Burnmoor win would open things up nicely for another proper title race just like last year.

Paul Coughlin playing for Eppleton at home to Felling . Hopefully a fitness test to see if he's ready for the RL50 🤔 Tomorrow may be too soon but hopefully he's available for the Wurzels gig on Wednesday.Eppleton currently 17/5 after 9 overs .Coggers batting at 4 made 4 and Seb Allison has 4 wkts .

I notice Allison played for Northumberland v Yorkshire and got some tap. Currently at Durham Uni but Saffer apparently.

Burnmoor 195/9 Dec beat South North 123 by 72 runs.Top of the table after 17 games reads
South North 305
Hetton Lyons 299
Burnmoor 297
Game on 😉

Sunderland 1sts won the Battle of the Roker Riviera by 41 runs .196-155.

Sunderland 2s batted first for 157 iirc and at half time whitburn were 41-6. I watched the whole second half and I think it was 53-6 or 7.. a good recover saw them to around 85-8 but stil a good old rogering. My old boss shakey top scoring I think with 31 and I'm not sure they made it to 100 in the end but it was a surprise they even got close to batting out the overs

Yeah his Dad text me saying it wasn't a great performance. Shouter seemed to be enjoying himself serving the drinks

Think that must've been during the match as missed that. He enjoyed himself aye and had bit crack with him and his dar. Think he'd have been more popular with the locals if whitburn hadn't been getting absolutely tonked like 😂😂

Burnham playing for Whitburn today
Out for a 6 ball 🦆. Meanwhile the next kid on the taxi rank Ben McKinney scored 113 for Hetton Lyons.Another outside bet for a RL50 game could be Ross Whitfield. Not sure what's the score with Pooly Harry Crawshaw but I think the well has totally drained 🤔

Harry Crawshaw played for Hartlepool today, they won by 9 wickets. He didn't bat but bowled 5 overs. There was a sub fielder on Thursday who I didn't recognise. Ben McKinney has had some good knocks his year, scored well for the 2nd xi Vs Surrey earlier in the season.
