Yes, this is 100% correct. I also understand that there will be no sanctions if a team concedes, however, I’m not sure if the non defaulting club receive maximum points or not. Could have a very significant impact on promotion and relegation.

Okay thanks - the league will hopefully announce this officially soon. It’s certainly going to stretch my club, several MLF’s in our ranks.

Another defeat for Chester 
I think most knew it would be a competitive league this year, but really surprised to see Burnmoor lose 3 of their opening 6, and of course Chester Le St lose 4 of their opening 6 games.
Jack Burnham with 3 centuries in 6 games, John Oswell with 450+ runs at a strike rate touching 150, Hetton Lyons 100% record and Eppleton losing all 6 are all other things of note so far in the NEPL.

I suppose he may never get a better chance than now given the players we’ve got unavailable.
He's the time of lad who could do with that 50 over comp when lot of players are away at 100.
John Oswell has been phenomenal in both types of cricket this season.Scored 190 ish the other Saturday.Think he played for the academy a few years back.
He seems to be scoring plenty for whitburn!

I was playing for 3s so didn't get to Preston Avenue, but everyone I've talked to said it was a great game, with JDT (50 & a 4fer) in splendid nick. Only surprise for me is that Newcastle didn't declare sooner & really push for the win.

Looking at the scorecard was that Sean Longstaff the footballer playing for Tynemouth. Good on him if it was that is real old school footbaers playing club cricket in the off season.

Yes it was. Sean actually prefers cricket to football as a game & always plays about 6 games each season. He's been at the club since he was a junior, as was his brother. They are both still regular attenders, as is Sam Fender. Whisper it on here but they do give loads back to the local community via their involvement in the club.

Only very briefly as a junior. He went to John Spence High school, which is close to TCC & used to have strong links. To be fair, Sam's talents are not in the sporting arena.
