Moyes needs much more time.....

Do you understand the concept of buying young players but not wanting to play them all at once in an inexperienced team?

That's what he's been forced to do, it's not something he's chosen to do.
no but he chose to buy players for the future with what little funds we had. Does that mean Moyes doesn't understand the concept of improving the first team?

it's all about opinions of course. btw........ I think his signings have been generally poor, but..... palace spent more on benteke than we have spent on the whole squad, that's where I sympathise with moyes. he is shopping in the bargain basement, and they don't always come off do they

Keep Kaboul, spend £6m on M'Vila, £12m on Chadli and Yedlin for whatever the mags paid. Much more efficient spending of money.

Instead we've loaned in key positions, only for them to be shit and pissed about £13m down the swanny on Papy, Love and McNair.

£30 million is one decent player for Arsenal, not for a bottom half club. He didn't have to buy a whole squad either.

palace
Bournemouth spent 15 on a Liverpool reserve...... all relative
again, I think his signings have been poor, but it's back to the old Sunderland, our signings have NEVER hit the ground running and been ready to put straight in the 1st team, barring.....big Sams last January

Come the Arsenal game , thats if moyes survives that long, Short will have no other option but to sack him. more points lost and further behind.

How do you know what funds we had?

We were still trying to get deals over the line on deadline day which didn't come off.

Palace have just signed Benteke, Mandanda, Townsend, Tomkins and Remy and are in the top half of the table. It's pretty clear they've got much more ambition than we do.

£15 million isn't £30 million either. Chadli just went for £12 million, Wanyama went for similar, Townsend for similar, Hojbjerg, Redmond, Joe Allen, Gueye, Ashley Williams etc etc. He should have spent the money much better than he did.

His first task was to improve the first team not buy some young uns for the future. That was his priority and he's failed miserably. But that is by the by, because ignoring the lack of quality or expereince, the team have no cohesion, no bottle, very little energy or commitment and absolutely no organisation whatsoever. You can't buy those in a transfer window

All he had to do was keep the squad together that finished last season and add two more quality players.

We even managed to fuck something as simple as that up

points taken ;)

He'll be sacked after the Bournemouth game if we don't win. The international break thereafter means there are 2 weeks before Hull at home.

(or get points against Arse or West Ham which we clearly won't do)

So we pay £13 mill on a player who you say that e don't want to start in the first team? Mental.

We fielded an inexperienced side because of the number of injuries we have.

As for getting players in of first team quality with PL experience, I don't think it's that easy to convince players to come here, obviously foreigners who want to play in the PL and youngsters looking to get more starts are areas we can look at but anyone with options is more than likely going to go elsewhere.

We have a decent first team when we have no injuries, probably a better team than last year.

I'm not buying that. The squad was good enough to get 27 points from half a season. Any half decent manager should have the confidence that they could at least mount a half decent campaign following on from that.

What's that then? Stopping up? Should we wish for relegation instead?
Aye just imagine the meltdown on here if Gomez, Bridcutt, Matthews, Buckley, Vergini, Giaccherini, Lens were kept and played and got us in this position. Nobody said we should wish for relegation! Mind you, 23 different grounds and a chance of winning at some of them means it wouldn't be the end of the world.
