Yes, it is damage limitation. However, as I keep mentioning, against Rotherham and Coventry the midfield was shown to be too lightweight. So, to take out Michut and put Roberts in there is the opposite of damage limitation. Mowbray has been dealt a poor hand but on a couple of occasions he has created the problem and we have lost. One was Cardiff and yesterday was another. We need a stronger central midfield. One option is to go with three and another option is O'Nien and/or Ekwah. Mowbray has done very well overall but yesterday he got it wrong.
 

Still can't believe that team selection yesterday. It's like he looked at how we should set up against them then did the opposite. For an experienced manager he makes some baffling decisions.

Not the best, but what would you have done differently? In hindsight, I'd have had Ekwah involved.
 
I've never thought Mowbray was the answer to be honest. I wasn't happy he was appointed and even less with the whole Data pointed to him being the best option lies. I did want to give him a chance and get behind him as we should try with all managers. I've thought judging him when we've had no strikers was harsh too. However I also remember he was hovering around the boardroom and exec boxes watching every game well before AN left. He was friendly with many staff members and likely offered his services before AN signed on with Stoke. I feel sorry for the hand that he's been delt but I'm acutely aware he wanted to be in this job.

His strange selections and substitutions don't help him and although he seems a nice bloke I don't see him as the answer long term. As always if you don't think a manager is right though with SAFC just wait 18 -24 months and another will be along to replace them.
 
This forum is like a car crash, you just can’t look away. I’m so pleased I didn’t jump on at any point yesterday or else I would’ve really lost my head.

So many reactionary wet wipes on here it’s a joke. It’s little wonder that we as supporters get the piss ripped out of us, with Twitter pages literally dedicated to the bullshit that gets posted on here on a daily basis. They’ll be having an absolute field day this past 24 hours.
