Mowbray

Don’t be so naive. He’s a part of a wider team making these decisions and he’ll endorse every signing and every decision and will have an input. If he felt that strongly about another striker, or midfielder or whatever it is, he’ll have had an opportunity to make it happen.
Do you know that for sure? If not I'm not being naive

O' Nien was man of the match at QPR in central midfield, just saying.
I said in another post he could play there, qpr are awful. Their manager got sacked not long after that game
We've been completely over run in midfield in the last 3 games, we're losing possession, not tracking runners, unable to pass the ball forward, can't even make a tackle. Mowbray has persisted with the same formation and largely the same players
As a poster pointed out on another thread he's sick of watching Dan Neil getting robbed in possession and its costing us a goal every time.

If Mowbray can't see that or won't do anything about it he shouldn't be managing us
I accept all of that, but you could put casimiro in our midfield and we'd still lose games

We've conceded 6 goals in the last 3 games from losing the ball in midfield, the bits I've seen from Casemiro he doesn't give up possession very often.
Like I say if Mowbray can't address that he shouldn't be picking the team

Is that why he said and I quote it would be "appropriate to be supplied with one or two" strikers on the eve of the Fulham game? We then lost Stewart so that was surely now two or three? He evidently has minimal involvement.

Mate if you don't know that starting without a striker won't take its toll and teams will learn how to play against that when you cut out your other 3 threats then you might as well stop watching footy. It's as obvious as the boil on my arse

Which I've already said is an issue aswell...? But it doesn't change the fact that the midfield is a problem aswell. There's plenty types of strikers aswell, it's rare you can find someone who can hold the ball up and be a decent goal scorer at the same - it's either or usually. Getting someone Stewarts quality in January was never going to happen.

You keep seem to miss the point I'm saying both are an issue but without any form of midfield then a striker won't do anything as the ball was never up there in the first place today.

Never up there

I saw Roberts pull 2 balls across the face of the goa thatl a decent striker would have gobbled up!

Spot on.
Teams worked us out the first time we lost Stewart and Simms and they are doing the same now. I just hope we have enough points to be not dragged into a relegation battle
