Mowbray

The first half I thought it was evenly balanced, if anything we edged it, neither team really threatened and the ref had a complete shocker.

They got the second and deserved it. I thought the third flattered them and the fourth. When we got one back we looked on top and I could see a way back into the game. The fourth was game over and the players heads dropped. Awful goal to concede mind.

The difference?

The ref
And
They have strikers.

Yes no one.He has been shafted by Speakman in relation to his failure to sign a big physical centre forward.Having said that Speakman has recruited some excellent players but the balance is wrong. It is inevitable that youngsters willl run out of steam and will need resting. We are not in a position to do this so a poor run was sadly inevitable.Mowbray is not perfect but I don’t know another manager who would have been prepared to come here who would have done a better job.Who would not have snapped their hands off for 49 points at this stage?
There are better managerial options out there. I think Mark Robins is worth a shout. He’s done a great job with Coventry in spite of all their issues with their ground etc and always speaks well and is calm and respectful. He’s been involved with a big club at Man Utd and I think he’d appreciate what he could achieve potentially at SAFC.

What other team could he realistically put out?

Exactly. What do people expect him to do wihtout a single striker to call upon?. Not one.
Exactly the same as in September, it took a couple of games for opposition managers to work us out and completely nullify our threat.
It's a massive failure on behalf of the recuitment team as we were very lucky this time last year, didn't act upon it, lost both in September and again, failed to act in January.
Mowbray has been trying to put a sticking plaster on a gaping wound for 75% of the season.

Think he's turned us down before. But yes, I've always rated him. He comes across like a bloke who knows his shit and does his homework.

Hawey man he's introduced babies into the team. Remember he's a coach not a manager he isn't signing the players he's working with what he's given.
Don’t be so naive. He’s a part of a wider team making these decisions and he’ll endorse every signing and every decision and will have an input. If he felt that strongly about another striker, or midfielder or whatever it is, he’ll have had an opportunity to make it happen.

Well said mate

We basically played with a 1 man centre midfield today it was f***ing ridiculous from Mowbray you could see it wasn’t working after 20 mins but he didn’t have the balls to change it

Really without there striker they would be relagation material, he scored around half of there goals.
If we had LND fit and he had chipped in another 10 goals we would be playoffs comfortably

His tactics left Dan Neil horribly exposed. Playing him on his todd in front of the back 4 was suicide.
Happened to often this year. He's to young to be shepherding even younger players and useless ill disiplined little twats who care about nobody but themselves. BUT he needs to concentrate and get his 1st touch right, it's letting him down so badly at the moment.

Let's all swap with Stoke. Six places below Sunderland but Neil is just obviously the better manager for winning one game. f***ing hell.

Do you think we'll finish above them? I'm not so sure.
Mowbray literally has nothing to work with up front and teamw know of they disrupt our momentum they have us second guessing.
