Most existing Safc player in your time

Probably Jim Baxter who was a hero to me as a kid.
Looking back though he probably had one good game in every 4 or 5 but what a game it would be!
After that Hughes and Tueart were very exciting players and in their pomp for us were terrific.
Modern day, Kevin Phillips he was such a livewire in the opponents last third you knew there was always a chance of something happening.
Yes, I would go to Roker Park just to see Slim Jim Baxter, the Scottish equivalent of George Best. He was mesmerising when in form and anonymous when he wasn’t. His ‘keepy-up against England at Wembley in 1967 when Scotland trounced England was probably the most memorable memory I have of him.

Adam Johnson. What a player.
I honestly preferred Allan Johnston, watching him drift effortlessly past players.

Kevin Phillips by a long way. I've never seen a better player in our shirt in my lifetime. The fact that he eventually left, some saying he downed tools, doesn't change a thing.

Kieron Brady.
In terms of talent and potential, without a doubt. What might have been?

Brady had god given talent, possibly the most talented I’ve ever seen in a SAFC shirt but was finished by 21 effectively because of the rare condition he had. Such a shame. Similar for Piper, he had potential to be great too.
