Most disappointing tourist destination you've been to.



Piccadilly circus . Seen it on telly that many times as a kid thinking " there's a glamorous place" . Never went till we played man city at Wembley . Pile of shite , nowt to it .
Oh and Tintagel an all..pile of rocks sums it up

Jerusalem for me, full of really rude Americans or Israelis who are probably worse if they are over the age of 40. The old city was just full of market stalls selling cheap plastic tat for tourists. Topped off when we took a wrong turn and had 4 Israeli army guns pointed at us for a few seconds before we started apologising and they just laughed and waved us away. Tel Aviv was a totally different scene though, but the constant reminder you are in a pretty much war zone is a slight worry.

Some friends of ours from Beijing visited Bangladesh (they had friends working there) - at the time the Bangladesh tourist board slogan was something along the lines of "visit Bangladesh before the tourists start to come and wreck it"

Another vote for Barcelona I was just a bit underwhelmed.

had a good enough time but perhaps I was expecting more.

watched one of our games in a bar when I was there and we got beaten. And the place was full of Arsenal.

Perhaps that was the problem.

Poipet,there will be quite a few on here who have been to transit into/out of thailand/Cambodia, apart from the Casinos its not the sort of place to hang around 🙄
