Never seen any of this. Planning to hopefully have a decent break over Christmas so will give it a go.

I would recommend it mate, its a lovely watch

Just watched it, absolutely tremendous.

It really just goes to show that you don't need some half wit, nutcase or airhead z list celebrity or member of the public to make a 'reality show' entertaining.

These two are fairly understated most of the time during this, well maybe not Bob , and they provide immaculate entertainment.

Anywhere else get a bit emotional on the odd moment? it touches some big topics in a very understated way

Its one of the best things on terrestrial for years.

Given what he’s battled through you’d think he wouldn’t be arsed with his baldy napper. Always struck me as a bit miserable and boring but was good crack.

aye, unless he looks absolutely mental without hair, he was very gaunt .

I like it very much. I wasn't a fan of The Trip. I suspect both of those two actors have massive egos and they got in the way a bit. I don't sense that with Whitehouse and Mortimer, which is part of the charm of the series.

Its really good, easy watching. Like a hug from the telly.

I suppose fishing either does it for you or doesn't. I know there was more action but Robson Green's series was show after show of him yucking a line in then shouting "Howay man... I've got a bite like" but it has proved incredibly popular.

So many touching moments in lastnights but for me the simple ‘Bye Mum’ as he walked away from his childhood home was so poignant

I watched an interview with Whitehouse, he said when they first started the series the most difficult thing was just being himself, all his career he's played characters, playing Paul Whitehouse was difficult

When they were in Teesdale they were in the grounds of Eggleston Hall, we stayed directly the other side of the river at Mickleton in the last week in October, I would say it was around then.

Deffo Eggleston . I live there and have fished that bit of river where they caught that last fish . It's the pool just down stream of the hall .
