More rumours BSA is going to get sacked

Fans gets ideas above their station and it rarely ends well, Southampton fans wanted the manager sacking a year ago for finishing 8th and getting to a cup final, look how that worked out. Everton and Allardyce is a good fit for where they both are in the football pyramid.
So they shouldn't have ambition? Sorry like but I simply can't agree with that.

If Big Sam is up for it I'd bring him back with a 5 year plan of getting us back in the premier league and get us stable.

Year 1 - League One promotion

Year 2 - Mid table Championship finish minimum

Year 3 - Championship Promotion

Year 4 / 5 - Become stable Premier League team

After that see where the land lies. .

He'd be dead after achieving all that with us mind I would too

If anyone is actually interested in the reasons it’s not worked out for him and can put aside the job he did at Sunderland then here’s some of them I can see:

1) The football has been horrible. Doesn’t matter whether it wasn’t when he was at Sunderland. It has been here.

2) Following on from point 1, we’ve lost interest. We don’t threaten wins over the top teams (even at home the best we can hope for is a 0-0 Draw) and have been comfortably outplayed when we’ve lost.

3) This is his biggest club job and his opportunity to show it’s not all about him and he’s failed. Throws the players under the bus when results are negative and takes all the plaudits when they’re positive.

4) Disrespected the fans on numerous occasions. Batted away criticism as “15 fans on the internet” and laughed at fans when asked about any pressure.

5) We want to be better than 7th and/or win Silverware. Allardyce’s entire career suggests he isn’t capable of that. Don’t forget we only actually wanted him for six months. He played a blinder to make it an 18 month contract.

6) This is a minor and petty one. He keeps taking credit for a 4-0 win when he wasn’t even in charge against West Ham.

7) This is a big one. Serious question marks over what he can do with our young talents. Davies desperately needs to improve on the ball which won’t happen under Sam. Lookman was shipped out to Leipzig (Sam wanted him to go to Derby) and has tore it up whilst Sam preferred the dismal Bolasie. Calvert-Lewin and Holgate haven’t seen much game time either.

Worth saying that he wasn’t actually at your club for very long and you could easily have been fed up quickly with him yourselves had he stayed. As that’s what happened with O’Neill, Di Canio, Payet and Advocaat before him.
Bit harsh to single out Bolasie, was an excellent player until his knee injury.

Is it ambition or delusion? Newcastle fans still constantly get called deluded even though it’s a club with zero ambition under Ashley and one where the fans are happy just to avoid relegation. What’s the difference ?

He’s won nothing and probably never will, but Everton aren’t a team who win things anymore, they are going to be 7th-8th every year whoever is in charge unless they spend hundreds of millions. What is Marco Silva going to do at Everton that Allardyce can’t ? He may even be worse, but because he has a fancy name Everton fans will accept him.
Nowt fancy about Silva - his behavior at Watford was a disgrace

Its ambition driven from having a very very wealthy owner and a new stadium being built. The difference is massive imo. One of those clubs has been the best side in the country in my lifetime and finishing just behind the "big clubs" for years, Winning leagues, FA Cups and a European cup. One gave it a go, failed and have been relegated twice in recent times and still go on about being a massive club.

Has Evertons new stadium even been approved?

BHH

Perfect fit for Safc in whatever division
He's hardly a perfect fit when he'd want a contract that pays ten times as much as we'd be offering and would want a similar sized multiplier for transfers. We'll be on a relatively small budget as try to reduce our overheads to figures that are within our means.

FFS man give it a rest. BSA is now an absolute mercenary without an ounce of loyalty to anything asides from BSA Plc. Left us for a job he fucked up due to his own selfishness within months.....
"A job"?
It was England manager FFS and it wasn't during a season.
Has he walked out on other clubs? If so I can't remember it...

If he did I wouldn’t mind him coming back.

Unfinished business.

We moan about the gaffers The owners have hired over the years yet most on here want former managers or players- reid and phillips, keane and bsa- why man

I enjoyed the very end of the season with big Sam but the bits before were dogshit. His persistence with some of the players and some of the subs were Terrible.

That bloody N'Doye or whatever he was called and Sam playing him on the wing used to drive me crazy.

Ambition of the club. Same as when we went down 2016. It was " right we are the biggest club in this league and we are going to walk it and come straight back up" we were even singing songs about when we win the championship in September. That's what persuaded Benitez to stay and the likes of Gayle and Ritchie to drop down a division to take us up.

If we went down with a "grounded" attitude and that we were going to do anything other than come straight back up then who knows where we would be now.

Are the schools off or something?
It was the money you spent under Rafa in the Championship that helped you get back up. Ellis turned the tap right off - another mistake although I can see why he thought it was just throwing good money after bad.

You basically had to buy a brand new squad as all your Prem quality players jumped ship when you went down.

That new squad spent the first two thirds of this Prem season flirting with relegation again.

Rafa is an OK manager, but let's not pretend its exactly been a glorious tenure to date. The best thing from your lot's point of view has been our total collapse, presumably why you are scurrying around this board in the first place.

I don't get that argument tbh. They have a billionaire owner who has ambitions to be a top club why shouldn't they try and reach the next level? Because they haven't been in recent years isn't a reason. Should they know their place and just be happy with it ?
We had a billionaire owner with ambition and look where it got us.

He’s a done a cracking job given their situation when taking over. 6 months a year for him is perfect rinse repeat....
