More erasing of history...

A quote attributed to Churchill
History is written by the victors
Very hard to discern real facts behind what really happened especially British colonial history from 18th century to end of 19th century

Removing Churchill is woke.
Animals aren't.
Is that clear enough? I suspect not.
That isn't a definition... you are just underlining you literally do not know what you are talking about... just remove the word woke and use your words and think about what removing Churchill actually is.

I'm not sure how these snowflakes managed before Churchill appeared on the notes in 2016. Historical figures have only featured since around 1960 too. Fannies.

Churchill never said that, Göring did.

Also, it really is not difficult to discern the real facts behind what really happened in the 18th and 19th Century. I am a Classicist but also studied a lot of medieval history... it is comparatively much easier to study the 18th and 19th Centuries and especially the actions of the British Empire.

The message peccavi one of my favourite tidbits in the communications of the British in India in 1843.

Well that quote is attributed to both actually, but as you are once again very strident in your response so shall move elsewhere

Göring was heard to say it at the Nuremberg Trials but the only people attributing it to Churchill are on social media stuff... it was not attributed to him in any records, diaries, letters etc

Thing is it goes right back in history to the beginning of narrative literature... controlling the narrative, PR whatever you want to call it... first order of business after usurping your predecessor.... shit all over his legacy and make sure your account for being the right winner are written down and widely disseminated.

As for the 'erasing of history'

I think it's the exact opposite these days.... Churchill for example..... Topics such as WW2 are presented and debated more than ever via online content such as podcasts and the like.
In most cases by world renowned scholars, historians, scientists etc...
Utter madness to say it's been erased....

Who was first though? Mr. Forage or Mr. Lights? Is knacker brain Nige getting on here? Woke money sounds interesting, 'No, I won't be spent on your Enoch Powell commemorative toilet paper"
You said it was woke!
You clearly don't know what woke means, and it's painfully obvious.

The king is on one side. Why not mix it up a bit with what's on the other? Is the king being on it not a figure enough for you?
Churchill, while a war prime minister and good for that, wasn't exactly covered in glory before and after WW2.

Maybe having some of our indigenous wildlife on it would be a nice change.
Stop being so precious.
Ah. I've just seen that Fartrage is saying "They're replacing churchill with a beaver. This is the definition of woke".
You're literally parroting this unpatriotic toadfaced dipshit.
Somehow Fartrage has passed me by, it has made me laugh so much. Great start to the afternoon.

Well according to this clownshoe once Churchill is removed from the £5 it will erase history... I've seen this episode of star trek... so this means in that instance the statue will disappear, we all start talking German, good news though is we will be in the EU again and in this time line we got David Hasselhoff as PM instead of John Major.
