Mick Beale

I realise he is the devil incarnate to many for being in charge when our 10m team was beat by a 400m team from a higher division. he had no where near enough time to fix shambles left behind by Mowbray.
wasnt overly fond of him...his mien was very iffy, but as a coach in the game he had a good reputation and many put down any success Gerrard had at Rangers and for a short time at Villa (until Beale left ) to him.
Gerrard is on his last legs in saudi league. like many ( eg keane, lampard, rooney, Ince ) he is all about former playing days and has little to offer in the sphere of managing and coaching.
mowbray didnt leave behind a shambles..he left behind a team in a very strong league position...
the SAFC team contained indivudla players worth more than £10mn..we know this because Clarke was sold for that price..

Beale is good been number 2 tbh
In the sense that he's a pile of steaming shite, yes.

If he'd had Isidor instead of Burstow, who knows..
Looking back at some of the teams that Beale and Dodds had to put out it's no wonder they didn't get results.

I always said that I felt that Beale was pretty decent as a member of someone's backroom staff. The point was he didn't have any real experience of being in charge and his forte was not that of being the head coach of a club.

It would be nonsense to suggest that he didn't have any football coaching experience or that didn't merit a job in football. Ours was just the wrong job for him. It was poor judgement to appoint him to the post and he overstretched himself by taking it. I am sure that he will do well at what he does best

Been interviewed for the Plymouth job apparently 😬😂
Talk about out of the frying pan into the fire. Saw my Plymouth supporting friend today, and he had no clue who was in line for it, but was adamant that it wouldn't be Schumacher who he said stitched them up. He would be more open to Ryan Lowe back.
