Membership scheme

Lad at work is a Leeds fan, pays £60 a year or something, and only gets to a couple of games. It's like an extra £30 a ticket
Your Leeds mate is lucky the son-in-law and a few of his mates have never got ticket from the mags scheme there to busy selling tickets on the side to private schools in Scotland

get ya nana, aunty and next-doors dog signed up and they will have to look at extending the stadium.
For everyone saying it's a rip off (it is in a way), this is why there's a charge because if it costs nowt then people will sign up multiple times. If people think the chances of success are shite when paying then if it was free then there would be even worse and a complete lottery.

You would think they'd limit the membership but then you could still have 1,000s willing to take that chance of paying to even get to one game. Though some clubs also offer more for membership such as discounts and some offer different levels that have more benefits.

Aye it's a rip off but when demand exceeds supply then clubs cash in and this all started from the big clubs and it's trickled down into more clubs as the Premier League has grown so popular.

Only recently found out about the Saudis ticket scheme as me brother-in-law ‘casually’ supports that lot and me nephew is wanting to get to his first game.

Any sort of membership scheme along those lines is just another way to fleece working-class fans and I’d be gutted if we introduced anything like that.

Can’t see us doing it, I’d say we’re just about in the sweet spot with demand for tickets. We do sell out but it’s been pretty easy to get tickets

Didn’t we have some sort of membership scheme 3 or 4 seasons ago? It was scrapped as hardly anyone subscribed.

Absolute rubbish, they sell out in less than 30 minutes on a Tuesday, loads miss out and struggling for tickets.

Give ower man you need to be on the ball a bit aye but if you really want one you can get them and they’ve released padded seats close to each game.

Sorry mate but your way off if you think the sweet spot is thousands of fans who want tickets not being able to get them.

surely this isn't being suggested yet just after a couple of sell outs? It should be season after season with people struggling for tickets then they can talk about ballots and shit like that. A few mags I know enter these ballot things and win quite a bit by the sounds of it. Must be absolutely shite paying with no guarantee of a ticket or just getting one of the shitter games. I have no sympathy as they were nowhere near the ground 5 years ago.

Its an absolute no from me.

Might start with good intentions but within a season or two we'll all be paying £50 a year if we want to apply for away tickets etc. They'll then create tiered memberships where gold members who have paid £75 have priority access to everything.
