Mayenda discussion thread

He’d do well to ignore people’s opinions online and just concentrate on his game.
Afterall he’s playing at a higher level than the people making the comments ever did

He's absolutely rapid. Their CBs last night were scared to death of them. So strong to turn his man. Gonna be an absolute force when he develops his man strength!

Needs to play centrally.

There are so many posters on here who are complete dunces. They can't see past the end of their noses and certainly aren't capable of critical thinking.

We've witnessed several young players show vast signs of improvement game-to-game over the past few seasons. With the likes of Clarke, Hume, Cirkin, Jobe and Neil you can almost see the development in real-time. The exact same thing has happened with Mayenda over the past 5 or 6 games. You can see his awareness, concentration and drive to be more direct increasing.

How many more players are we going to try and destroy after a couple of errors before we realise what we are? We are now a club that allows players minutes on the pitch to correct their mistakes to help them fulfill their potential. Long may it continue.

All the posters on this forum who have slated Mayenda and called him shit over the past few games should just hold their hands up and admit that they were wrong. It's less humiliating than some of the windmilling we're seeing.

pleased he got his goal, hopefully gives him some confidence as his conversion ratio needs to improve.

Well said

I was boiling with him after Blackburn with that miss. 2 points lost from that.

Last night, same scenario, but he lifted his head. Simple really.

He did well, used his pace a lot more.

He remains one of my favourite players currently.......but today was disapointing. That said., I've had plenty of disappointing games from the likes of Roberts for the last seaosn and a half...and I still like him as well.
Even more favourite after yesterdays performance., And Im loving Robers too.
