Mayenda discussion thread

Good game but not consistently good enough right now to be starting in a team pushing for promotion. I don't think he's a natural finisher so will never be a big goalscorer. Unfortunately this goal tonight was probably all the justification the owners need to not spend money buying a proper forward. I predict Mayenda won't score again for weeks.
I think you are trying to defend a previously held opinion rather than recognising the changed situation. I'm confident Mayenda will continue to have a positive impact in future games - goals or not.

Looks good on the right or up front, shite on the left wing. I really like him, very direct and always looking to go forward and take people on.

He got some deserved criticism for his misses in the previous two games (some undeserved as well mind) but fair play to the lad for bouncing back tonight.

Thought he was a constant menace and gave them huge problems, took his goal so well ….big difference with the Blackburn chance was his first touch took it across and more central to his left foot and he looked much more at ease.

Delighted for him as after last couple of games it was probably easier for him to miss

He wouldn't be if poveda , Watson and mundle weren't injured.
