How can a bloke fuck us by being excellent for 18 months then leaving and doubling our money? He left for more money which like I said earlier in thread is why vast majority of players leave if in demand.

I think with bent I wasn't always sure he'd score (terrible in the derbies as well iirc) with defoe as soon as he's in the box I know he'll score
I loved Darren Bent but Defoe is more likeable for me
Were we going to pay what villa paid in wages? Not a chance and Bent will have known this. He left for more money, nobody is disputing this but there's nothing new in that and he provided superb service whilst here and made us a big profit. I wish we had a few more players who fucked us over like that!

All hindsight but we were head over heels in love with Bent like. His constant tweets about us etc etc. Thats why we hate him so much for going.
