It's true like. As con artists go this is a master stroke by Benitez. As long as he's manager they will achieve nought but he strokes the ego of the great unwashed by using phrases such as one of the greatest cities, with some of the greatest supporters etc and blaming the failure on Ashley's frugal transfer policy. How h as Ashley made his billions? Why is he negotiating a new contract with Benitez who has achieved nothing but kept them in the Premier league except when we relegated them. Ashley would love to sell but Benitez is depressing the value of the club with his negative tactics.
