The last time he scored lots of goals in league one Powell played nearly every game. He played 20 odd the year before when Grigg didn’t score all that many in the champ. Not sure who played with Grigg the first year he scored a lot for Wigan. Powell wasn’t there at that time.
Grigg desperately needs more movement and a faster paced game behind him to get him working. That’s obvious from his style of play and physical stature. I really dislike the idea that our issues will be solved with a new striker. We don’t create enough and the chances are often of average quality. The focus of money being spent should absolutely be on creativity and energy in midfield and wide areas imo. Signing Marquis won’t fix Grigg - or Sunderland.

I can only see 4.5 half seasons at this level.
4 in 39 at Brentford
20 in 44 at MK Dons
25 in 40 at Wigan
19 in 43 at Wigan
4 in 20 for us

Aye Walsall didn't come up on the site I used. His 41 in 19 for them in his last year there makes his season after at Brentford even weirder.
7.5 years. In 4 of them he's approaching 1 in 2. But really the only recent bad one is the half last season.
