Let them buy the fuckas.......let them spend a few quid and try to raise the bar again to the heights of the Keegan era...

It's the status quo (not the band) thats killing footy up here....both teams are utter shite...granted we are alot worse but by god it's boring. Nothing to look forward to...no derby games..no getting worked up that the smelly gets are putting good runs together or that they have just signed a "proper " footballer for once. No getting annoyed at the national and local press swooning all over them with every little snippet blow out of all proportion.

Let them have the takeover...we will continue to be ignored by the rest of the football pundits and be in the shadow of the black n white monolith that will no doubt be built on hype.
It might just change things for us....supporters getting that passion/anger back in their bellies...owners who might step up to the mark or maybe sell to those who see whats happening up the road and want to not only match it but better it..
At the moment north east footy is lethargic and attended by those who do so out of some misguided loyalty rather than those who actually enjoy it. I have been like that for years.
Little things.....can't remember the last time a huge cheer went up at half time when the mags score flashed up and they were losing.
The change whilst unwelcoming (I remember the early Keegan era) could just ignite things and bring back a bit of real passion.

Or they could be a complete disaster and wished Ashley had stayed :)

Top players won’t want to come up here it’s facts. Say if Newcastle wanted a player with a London team, Milan or someone in Basque- they won’t want to move up here. Like it or not it’s a massive influence.

Top players have been happy to play in Liverpool and Manchester, so why not Newcastle?
Manchester may be thrice the size and have a huge airport, but it isn't exactly a great beauty bathed in golden sunlight.

Because it’s in the arse end of nowhere?

I’d like to think this vision works mate, I fear that we’d just get washed away though by the slavver and spunk that would emanate from every orifice of the Tyne.

Thought these saviours were meant to have billions upon billions? Yet they have to pay in instalments.
It's the way business works. If it is PIF that are taking 80% then Newcastle will be by far the richest club in the world, over 2x richer than Man city who are currently the richest club in the world. But with FFP it doesn't matter who they get taken over by they will never be anymore than a comfortable top 10 side

argh..she isnt broker in this..she is a shareholder..she was just a bbrioker ont he city deal so didnt need cash..she is not a brokr on this she is a shareholder..

pcp in the uk took this loan..not the ruebens..who have publcially stated they are not currently invested in pcp..
Caulkin replied to a tweet saying the last time he spoke to Staveley she promised 100 million over two transfer windows on improving the squad.

Less money than Ashley put in, They'll be calling for the Saudis out in no time.

I believe that figure referred to her failed bid from 2018 (without the explicit backing of the Saudis) rather than this bid. If this bid succeeds the transfer pot and wider investment could be considerably bigger. We'll just have to wait and see.

Alderley edge is fashionable.

Darras hall isn't

anyone one else rather worried if this goes through and they have some serious cash that this could be us absolutely screwed long term as younger fans in 50/50 towns will all go the way of the mags abit like the keegan years

The whole idea of Sportswashing is a murky business, not least with the Saudis record on human rights and “silencing” journalists.
I wouldn’t say im worried but it’s a distinct possibility especially given where we are now.

there’ll always be a Sunderland

Whole communities are drowning in apathy. It is a reasonable question to ask.

That’s pretty much exactly what will happen if they’re remotely successful I would imagine. Dark times.
