Wheatley Hill bypass leads to nowhere. This closure affects 100’s of thousands. Access to the countries 2 biggest airports is severely restricted and would you believe that people from all over the country use them. Everyone has to be aware.

Peterlee airport could be impacted if the Wheatley Hill bypass is closed.

Went to the RVI yesterday, the road outside the main entrance is shut heading in, but open for traffic leaving. There is a diversion in place around the back by the dental hospital though. Please allow an extra 5 minutes for your journey if you're in that area.

The highway agency can suck me like. Not only do they close a road or reduce it to 1 lane for months on end, they have the bollocks to try and tell people not to find alternative routes
