Grigg is the new Wyke, injured shite. Clubs desperate, signing league one shite for crazy money. What lessons have been learned? If we go up, what will we do with Grigg? Wigan, who are shit, don’t think he’s good enough for the championship. What then?

LOL
If we go up he can help us consolidate and then we can sell to a league 1 team like Ipswich, Reading etc. If he fires us to promotion the transfer fee will be justified.

Who else could we attract that would have as good a record at that level than Grigg?

The best Championship player tend to stay with Championship clubs unless a PL or a one of the top Championship clubs try to sign them. They tend to cost big money. You could pay anything from £4m+ for a good proven Championship striker. Also top or mid-level Championship strikers don't want to drop down to League One. Any striker we get will be a player not getting his game for a Championship club or playing in League One/Two side. £1million is the going rate these days for a proven League One goal scorer these day.

The offer Sunderland made was seven times his present salary, so we are told.
And what's his current salary?

It's the way he's gone about it
Aye, absolute disgrace the way he's kept scoring goals for us.

Even if he did Hank, I wouldn't believe a word of it. No player is bigger than the club. We move on.

But everything THE DON and Charlie boy come out with is gospel?

No point in getting wound up over this. Surely this is gonna happen quite a lot while were in the lower leagues. As soon as one of our players looks good, teams will show an interest....and the club will cash in.
Aye.

What even though they’re in a relegation battle they’ve suddenly found better strikers? Get real, he’s league one shit and we’re paying crazy money for him!
I don’t know if you haven’t realised but we are a league one club and he is tried and tested at this level.

6 months ago nobody would have batted an eyelid if Maja was being moved on with his contract coming to an end.
Very disappointing the way it has been played out on social media but there is no point in vilifying someone for trying to better themselves.

Well if I didn't know better I'd say it's almost as if somebody was trying to vilify the player in order to stave off any backlash the club might face from selling their most prized asset.

Funny old world.

If its actually 3.5m for 6 months remaining on his deal I'll f***ing push him to Bordeaux in my wheelbarrow. That will be near enough what this entire league added together will spend on transfers over a year or more, easily be able to fund replacements out of that to get us up.

Almost no chance thats a genuine figure imo

Probably half up front and half on appearances and sell on percentages.
