I have yet to see anyone asking why this couldn't be done four months from now. Why mid season when it's so obviously disruptive to the clubs promotion campaign? It's this urgency to fuck off that I don't get, it comes across as a big 'screw you'

Because we stand to make £0 / less than his market worth if he goes in the summer when his contract is up.

Doing it now means we get £3.5m now rather than risk the above scenario.

No point in getting wound up over this. Surely this is gonna happen quite a lot while were in the lower leagues. As soon as one of our players looks good, teams will show an interest....and they'll most likely fuck off.
Sadly, probably this marra. It's just the way that they approach it, makes the big difference to me, personally. I would like to think that I'm open and honest and I expect others to be the same, but everyone is different, I s'pose:cool:

They have told the fans more than any other owners I’ve ever heard. I think it’s fair enough they concentrated on what was going on short term first. It’s wrong to suggest all we got is “the puss taking stops here” we have heard loads from them.
I’d like to hear the longer term plans as well mind, might try and get something around that next time they do a podcast.

I am sorry for the outbursts. I am just so frustrated and want the best for my club.

I would love to hear their plan. A higher caliber owner would have drawn it up for the supporters from day one or at least an outline, where do they want to go or take this club? All we got was "the pisstaking stops here" unfortunately pisstaking happens at every club that is football, it is how you manage it.

This is drivel.
Their plan is:
A. Sort out the finances which were haemorraghing 20m a year when they arrived, so we don't go bust.
B. Get us out if the division, without risking going bust (ie keeping finances sustainable).
C. Reingage with fans and be open and honest about what is going on (so far as possible).

A plan 'to get us back in the Prem where we ''belong"' despite the fact that, apart from the decade of Short's financial doping that very nearly saw us go bust, our natural position is at best that of a yo yo club, is just daft.

Our first and only plan is to get us into the Champo without breaking the bank or saddling us with lots of players that will tie us down financially once w get there.

Mmmm yeah, loyalty and career development obviously mean nowt to him attributes you clearly can't relate to Shaun....

Bit harsh that mate, no need to lower yourself by being insulting.
Put yourself in his shoes. You are safc thru and thru - he isn't. Triples his wages and goes to higher standard of football. Haway man, think about it.

Exactly this
99.9 % of footballers care not one bit about the club they play for. Has been like that since sky came in and it’s a job at the end of the day.
It’s the shameful uturn that is unsavoury but that will be his agent.
Agents need to be rained in as they are the ones who seem to hold all the power which is crazy. Must be some canny back handers going in at the FA .
That being said if my boy was lucky enough to be a footballer and the chance came to leave Safc to triple his money then ofcourse I would tell him to go for it as would most parents .
Maja was a player who never got the crowd excited ...decent touch....but soft as shite...no pace .

They have outlined it. Several times.

Got to be down to the club wanting the 3.5m isn’t it? Surely the club could hold him to his contract?

The size of club is overwhelming, they have no plan of taking us back to where a club of our size belongs the premiership and keeping us there.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt. How do they plan on keeping us in the championship or even being competitive?

These two kit the jackpot with our club.
Let's face it, nobody on here knows what the plan is, but I'm sure there is one, first job is to get out of this league and then onward from there. This whole worrying about The Championship and people banging on about bringing in players who can make the step up is bollocks.

Grigg is the new Wyke, injured shite. Clubs desperate, signing league one shite for crazy money. What lessons have been learned? If we go up, what will we do with Grigg? Wigan, who are shit, don’t think he’s good enough for the championship. What then?

LOL
we arent signing championship players..we want league one players of which grigg is one of the very best in his positon..

I see your point marra, but can't see why a club would pay 3.5 Mill for him now when they could get him for nowt in the summer. A gentleman's agreement between a prospective buyer and his agent would surely solve that. Mind you his agent seems so slippery that a handshake on the deal now, would be worthless to any club in question;)

We are getting good money under the circumstances.
Just hope it doesn't cause any rumblings in the camp
Have I missed something, but I've never seen anything concrete about him moving. Just German League, French League, etc, etc. The only thing that seems patently obvious is that he wants away:cool:
