But now we risk not being able to replace him and failing to get promoted without his goals and for what? £1.5m with add-ons??

You don't know that's true though, Maja may have chosen to delay contract negotiations, knowing he wanted to move elsewhere.

I can’t remember the details but they were both offered extensions but it was either after their stock had risen and they were getting a run in the team so they were declined or they were taken off the table at that point for some reason. As I say my memory is hazy but I was annoyed by it at the time.

Yeah. Wasn't any word from the camp they were trying to sort the new deal out though. We know they tried in the summer but pre that there's little to go off.
