Donald said he sought out Ross to say he wanted to sign it. He’s not just going to shout omout in the middle of training he wants to sign. He will have asked to see him in his office after. Players often do this.
yes indeed they do...but until they do you cant know its going to hapopen.
the next steps then are:
JR doesnt have the authoruty to physically sign the contract omn sunderland's behalf..so he tells the hcaorman.
the chairman gets the awyers to draw up the agreement.
the agreemnt copies are sent to steaart and the agent and maja.
thats hours of work..therw wouldnt have been anything for him to sign yesterday.

Maja says he wants to sign;

His agent told him not to;

His agent went to Sky Sports and said Maja won’t be signing;

Donald responded on Twitter saying Maja had arranged to sign but then came back and said his agent told him not to.

Donald now says they’re working to change his mind.
Haway Maja, sack your f***ing agent!

Because he wants to put his version of events out so that people are aware of the club's take on it. Some are having difficulty getting their heads around the fact that the players don't run this club any more.

Ok, if I accept that point I then he should do something officially through proper channels and in a less emotive, shabby fashion where he could have calmly criticised the agent whilst simultaneously reaching out to Maja.

I agree that players should not run the club. Everything Ross has said in the past few days suggests that Maja’s behaviour where it matters is not at all in line with that. We also need good players at this level to get us above this level. This saga is not helping that as Maja is absolutely key

No, it shows he has a greedy f***ing agent who's selling snake oil to his client

Why doesn't he sack the Fooka then........he wants to sine but his agent doesn't? Fook 'em.......he doesn't want to play he can Fook off now

Why would his agent go with the story to sky? It just doesn’t make sense

to drum up interest? His agent is absolutely desperate for a big move. The Guardian are reporting that City are interested and his agent will have the opinion that he can wrangle a very good pay day for himself here.

So why set the deadline ?

Even if it is sometimes detrimental to what happens on the park?

No experience of that happening yet though. Maja can play and show the same level of commitment he did at Blackpool and he won’t get grief. Ross has pretty much already said his relationship with the player is good and as long as he’s available for selection he’ll play him.

If he’s determined to leave then SD’s tweets won’t keep him here.

Why would he lie?

Take flack off player (he’s already asked fans to get behind him) Put pressure on agent. Make it sound like we are paying players what they want to either appease fans thinking we aren’t offering enough, or make players of other clubs think we will offer them fortunes. Could be anyone of a number of reasons.

Why would a player seek out the manager and specifically ask to sign a contract then fuck off home without saying anything and leave sky to tell the club? He and his agent know the whole deal on the table so I doubt Maja only just spoke to him that night after weeks of not talking to suddenly tell him not to sign. He would have already told him this several times before then.

Maja should tell his agent he is signing and then sack him... The agent works for Maja not the other way round.
What if his agent is telling him he can get him a better deal at a bigger club in a higher division?
Thats what Maja and all players expect of their agent.
If he just wanted to resign for us with no questions he wouldnt need an agent.
You have to remember the more money the agent gets the player the more he gets paid.
The agent has no affiliation to Sunderland - they are just customers.
When we sign some players do you think agents will be involved? Of course, but if we get what we need no doubt anybody will mind too much!

Agents are a f***ing cancer that football would do well to eradicate. Reading Simon Jordan’s book at the moment and he despises the kernts.
Would be better all round if all players were represented by The PFA.

On Maja , unless we can get a sale and loan back , we should keep him as the transfer fee will not be worth the cost of possibly losing out on promotion

The PFA are just as bad.

Have a read of this:

Yet the agent informed ssn and not the club? At least have the honesty to tell the club he wasn’t signing - if thats because he has a much better offer then fair enough
As I’ve said I’d be interested to hear the other side of the story, either from the despicable, evil agent or said sky reporter. Or maybe even young Josh himself. Atm we only have Donald’s slightly sensationalist Social Media account in 32 characters and lots of !!!’s. Forgive me for not rushing in to take this at face value just yet
