I'm sure Bordeaux would have preferred for him to stay here and move in the summer. Instead we cashed in and ended up spending more on an inferior replacement. In the end it caused us promotion. The winners were Bordeaux and Maja.

Its the way him and his agent lied about it all. They asked us for a certain amount of money to stay and we said "ok" but he still fucked off.

I dont care one f***ing bit what he does with the rest of his career, couldn't care less.

How is he two-faced? Because Bordeaux offered him a better deal? Would you have turned down that deal?

Have you any proof that Maja or his agent lied? Other than what honest Donald told is.

Hes two faced because they lied about staying if they got what they wanted, it's not hard to understand marra.

Like you said Donald told us. Why would he lie? If he did lie Majas agent would have sued for liable.

Because Stewart Donald has been caught out that many times no one believes a word he says.

At the end of the day, Maja did what was best for him and it looks like the right move.

Thread title makes subject obvious - why you reading about it then?
 
The amount of people who think Maja would have stayed here to play in the third division when he was wanted by a team near the top of the French top flight is unbelievable.
 
As I was saying at the time, we should have kept him till the end of the season, even if we ended up with no fee. At least we would have gone up.
 
Did we mess up the Pickford deal too ? Any sell on clause or international call up fees /bonus ? Obviously we get 30m and immediately lost 10m for Alavarez to Inter.
 
Even at this time of year we'd struggle to organise a Santa Claus never mind a sell on clause.
