yes

Ah yes - £25m for Gini Winaldum and £30m for Sissoko
Bargains

No we still think hes a wanker. But he is now scared shitless to do anything that would kill the golden goose (rafa) . So I guess when we get up he will spend spend spend

You should be knighting him not forcing him out. The bloke is bankrolling you again to get back up. I don't understand how you can be so anti- a director who continues to plough money in and has the club on sound footing. Freddie Shepherd set unreal expectations on spending which the club couldn't afford and nearly killed the club off.....

Just hope that comment does not come back and haunt you mate.

Long way to go but could be the future one day - by then it will have become tough league with a lot of quality teams in mind ;)

Bankrolled us to 30 million profit

Getting us back into the premier league by allowing Rafa to buy players is the minimum he can do after years of utter contempt and ineptitude.

If he continues to back Rafa should we come back up and lets him get on with his job thereafter I would imagine most would become tolerant towards him eventually.

He will never be loved though.

You spent 90m last season for fucks sake. It wasn't his fault you signed shite players.

Just read this, but it's all down to Rafa.

Great result last night and now we've got the Wolves double-header coming up within 3 days of each other. I was thinking about Rafa playing two different 11's and it's only now I've realised how strong our squad is :

1st 11:
Sels
Anita - Lascelles - Mbemba - Dummett
Ritchie - Shelvey - Hayden - Gouffran
Diame - Gayle

2nd 11:
Darlow
Yedlin - Hanley - Clark - Gamez
Atsu - Tiote - Colback - Lazaar
Perez - Mitrovic

Then you have players like Murphy, Aarons, Haidara and Rob Elliot not even making those two line-ups......crazy squad building by Rafa

That was the clubs own money and mainly profit that had built up over the previous 5 seasons. He appointed McClown and the other duffers who made up the board, so ultimately it was his fault.

He can be commended for getting us on a good financial footing, but appointing Benitez is the first decision that has been made purely on a football basis. However as always with Ashley, you know the next bombshell is just around the corner.

I've heard he's planning to use the Shearer statue as a manikin for Whey Aye Man costumes.

They've bought very good players for the Championship, different kettle of fish when they get promoted though.

I think their manager is the main reason for their form. He's brilliant unfortunately. Can only hope the next big Ashley fuck up leads to his exit. Does anyone believe that if they get promoted that the FSW will be content with a season objective of avoiding relegation?

It would be very embarrassing if they didn't beat almost all teams in that league wouldn't it?

Benitez massively outspends his rivals and beat who he should beat... masterful management isn't it.

Lowest net spend in the entire division haven't they?

It doesn't really work than way. They spent £90 mill last season...you don't just write that off. Their sales this season simply pay that off....then you can add on the £50 mill or whatever spend this season. Accounts may be structured seasonally to give that lowest net spend figure but the money spent to assemble those sales doesn't just disappear, it has to be repaid.

I totted it up the other week and what has happened is that the mags have in the last 18 months exchanged a premier league squad for a championship one for no net gain. That's a bit shit by anyone's measure.

The quoted post by me was on about what Benitez spent though.

All I can say is that you're not very good at maths.
