We shall no doubt be getting the cheesy chips and blue pop jibes shortly.![]()
A good percentage of the population of Sunderland pronounce it as such, mowsy lad.

Aye, we say it as it's spelled, two e's not fower.I do like that they've even got their own joke wrong. It was all about how we said it, but somehow, over the years they've thought it was that we ate and drank it![]()
Tidied mate.Don't try and compare the two things. Many pronounce it 'buck'. Is that wrong, baboooooooon?

Well I say "buck" for book tbf (mams fault) but even those that don't I'm struggling to see where the E and W comes in marra. Don't know about you, but many black and whiters satin like a baboon would, Booooook.

I'm confused as to why they are using the old Crowtree Leisure Centre mascot on their flags.

Fairs cup star!
f***ing hell man it was an invitational tournament. I demand we have a star on our strip because I think we won the Isle of man pre season trophy in the 80s
Originally started as an invitational tournament for clubs in cities that had held trade fairs (Newcastle never done that) then moved away from just invitstional and was awarded to teams on merit via league places, but kept a one club one city rule, meaning several clubs who finished above Newcastle didn't qualify. Uefa started the uefa cup as their third competition after the success of the fairs cup.
Makes a mockery of the competition in all honesty, certainly not worthy of a gold star.Originally started as an invitational tournament for clubs in cities that had held trade fairs (Newcastle never done that) then moved away from just invitstional and was awarded to teams on merit via league places, but kept a one club one city rule, meaning several clubs who finished above Newcastle didn't qualify. If you scrape the Championship title with your budget squad and inexperienced manager, will that one be added, too?
As one of your lot happily said, "A trophy is a trophy."

On the way to winning it Newcastle beat Feyenoord, Inter, Sporting Lisbon, Rangers and Udjpest Dosza. Some big names in there at the time, certainly not the gulf in class between foreign leagues and the english top flight that there is nowMakes a mockery of the competition in all honesty, certainly not worthy of a gold star.
No, as our other two 2nd division wins aren't on there either.

Aye, but as your star (lol) falls ever further, countable silverwear also does.
I read it. "A trophy is a trophy".
Squeeze it on there if it happens. If there's room.![]()
