Don't get the intertoto shite like. Think there used to be about 6 "finals", and then out of the 6(not sure if it was 4, 6, or 8) winners, whoever progressed furthest was awarded the glass vase or shield and certificate. Its just a shite way of having more preliminary qualifying rounds. Start your season mid july and be wrecked by Christmas.
