Lynden Gooch on Tuesday nights game:
“I think the Sunderland game is one that they are going to want to win. I’ve checked their result and they got beat today (Saturday), so they are going to want to put that right. Obviously, it’s a chance for players who might not have played the first two games of the Premier League to get some minutes and show what they can do.
“It’s going to be difficult. They are obviously a top side, they got promoted to the Premier League for a reason, but it will be nice to go back there on a personal note.
“I was an academy player and it meant an awful lot to me to put that shirt on every week. I think I transmitted onto the pitch what they want from one of their own, although I wasn’t born there, I embodied what the Sunderland fans are all about. During some really difficult and dark times in the club’s history, I tried to give my best and stayed there as long as I could to help try get the club back where they want to be, and luckily they are there now.”
