You keep saying that and I admire your optimism, but why are you so pig-headed when anyone suggests that we need to atleast be wary of not slipping into that fight for relegation??

im not im aware we could just trying to be optimistic and im quite sure there are worse teams than us I just think people are quick to be negative when we have a poor start I say wait until both teams have batted then see where we are at.

But then I find it hard to take anything he says seriously when he says stuff like Chandimal isn't a good player...
 
That's generally the golden rule, but when we're 30-3 people are going to get anxious. This forum is for people to talk about cricket and it's natural people are going to voice their opinions on here - including negativity and concern.

50 partnership. Vital these two get through to Lunch. 86-3. Back to back boundaries from Stokes who is 22* with Stoneman 40*.

It would be a boring place if people held off making posts until the first innings for both sides was complete ;).

Tredwell replaces Lewis. 20 minutes until Lunch.

I don't think you should be took anxious when we are 30 -3 on day one like, you do need to relax a bit like
 
Stoneman 53* off 77 balls with 6x4 and 1x6. Quite an obdurate and watchful 50 going off his most recent form :lol:

Stoneman; Jennings; Borthwick; Richardson; Stokes; Colly; Mustard; Hastings; Arshad; Coughlin; Rushy

But heyho, they may feel there is only so much RFM you need in a side. A frontline spinner would have balanced that side really nicely.

i kind of agree with this, seemslike they dont have faith in the players enough so are packing the side with batsmen. with hastings andcoughlin shpwing some nouse with bat i'd have been tempted to pick a spinner anarl.
 
Probably honours even that session. At 3 wickets down I couldn't see how we could possible say it was our session, but the recovery was excellent. If these two can continue their progress well into the afternoon we'll be in great nick.

Stokes is long overdue a score and Rocky is easily our best batsman this season. A ton from anyone in our lineup should see us up to around 300 which like last week, should be at the very least - competitive.

We've done the best in the championship this morning. All teams chose to bat after winning the toss

Durham 113-3(30 overs)
Somerset 90-4 (29 overs)
Lancashire 87-3 (29 overs)
Warwcs 71-3 (32 overs)
