But heyho, they may feel there is only so much RFM you need in a side. A frontline spinner would have balanced that side really nicely.

Buckley is in the squad, although seeing how he was allowed to play for Blaydon yesterday I think it's unlikely they are seriously thinking of playing him today, but you never know, the wicket is at the bottom half of the square today so might be a turner?
 

Watching Arshad on Friday he is clearly not fit. Rumour is that he is not training midweek and has not played for his club side, Sunderland, this season.
If he is fit and not in squad for today then why did he not play for Sunderland yesterday ?
Due to injuries to other bowlers and wanting to rest(protect) Rushworth it appears Arshad is the sacrificial lamb !

Also, just noticed, Arshad did not play for the seconds last week ?
 
Durham won the toss and bat. Same team as last week. Anyon misses out for them but Joyce plays.

Hoping for a Middlesex Day 1.

Magoffin opening up from the Finchale End. Expect him to be dangerous, he usually takes wickets against us (and everyone for that matter).

Lancashire 29-1 v Northants. The way things are in the table we could probably do with a Northants win so Lancashire lose ground on us.
