need to try and bat for an hour or so after lunch if we can and eek out a 70 run lead. Notts would need to bat very well for almost 3 sessions to give themselves about 50 overs to bowl us out.

Your 70 lead is up with 40 minutes to spare...

Nice to see some boundaries but no reason to blast these wickets away

Get them in and give as much time as possible to bowl them out and then time for us to bat again thats the theory that some teams give. for me I would throw the bat and get as many as quicly as you can after you get the 100 lead.

What you dont want is to just eat up time if you are not scoring.

Mind with nine down now it make no difference now

Far better to score the max we can and make them nervous about the deficit imo
 
Just looked at the card again, If Onions gets to double figure that means every body has. When's the last time ythat happened?
