I guess it depends on the dates of course. Ive found a few return flights that have worked out cheaper

The cheapest return with Flybe at the moment is £128 and that's in June. What dates are you looking at out of interest?

Equivalent departure times for a return tomorrow = £230 by train and £293 by Flybe.

Edit - BA is £612

Unfortunately city airport has just opened itself up to scratters now.

its amazing how many idiots get to the front of a security line and THEN decide to take their belt off and empty their pockets. the amount of times the attendant has waved me through in front of someone because they have been asked to remove something and stand there holding the line up is unbelievable. there should be a slow and fast lane, and if you go in the wrong one you have to sit in the middle seat on your flight

went on one of them to edinburgh. agreed on the noise like. worse than a northern rail bus train.

They've got a crap reputation for cancelling or running delayed flights as well. I've stopped trying to fly up to Edinburgh on the morning of a meeting now and fly the evening before as they regularly cancel or delay the 7am flight from Brum

friday nights its miles better if you're going to newcastle. number 1, you're guaranteed a seat. number 2, kings cross is utter chod on fridays because all the tarquins and henriettas going to their country house for the weekend clog the station up.

i live on the isle of dogs like, so its class for me

FlyBe are now offering flights from Newcastle to London City Airport, from yesterday onward.

Could be handy for exiles coming up and for away games.

But is there any flights after Sat games with 3pm ko’s?

The Embraers aren't props. The Q400s (Bombardier) are. These flights are going to be flown under contract by Eastern.

I do that semi frequently on the 7.30 train and it's never that bad really. Few tins on the way up and all is well. I reckon the airport is probably more of a chew on in total. Its nice to have another option though.

you just used 'trekking to and from the airport' as justification against the plane. its a 15 minute cab ride from NCL to the city centre. if you live in Sunlun, its a lot further, so its a fair question to ask.
