Loch Ness Drogba

Loved him when he was here but we're light years ahead of him now in terms of the type of players we NEED to be targeting recruitment wise to move the club forward again next year. You cannot stand still in the PL.

I'm over the moon for the lad finally getting into the Scotland squad and I hope he has a fantastic WC as imho he's streets ahead of Adams and Dykes in terms of what he brings to the team and his actual ability to score goals. He's probably better than Shankland overall too but Clarke will start him before LND. Hopefully he stays fit, takes every opportunity he gets with both hands and bangs a few goals in to help Scotland out of the group stage.

A decent WC should get him a move out of Southampton as he'll definately attract interest from north of the border where he'd thrive playing for any of the Edinburgh or Glasgae teams. Aberdeen could do with him too but won't match his valuation especially on the back of a good WC.

I think he'd be a decent fit for Burra, or Hull, too if they get promoted. Imagine Cov and Ipswich might look at him too but I'm not sure who out of the more established PL teams would take a chance given his injury record. Plenty in the Championship would have him but again its dependant on what price he's commanding after the WC.

If he's fit he'd score goals at this level.

The only striker I watched in the Champ that I thought was comparable was Gyokeres, who's kicked on nicely.

Obviously he's rarely fit so it's a moot point, just surprised at some of the comments.

At the right price I’d absolutely have him as an impact sub. Especially if we’re competing in four competitions next season.

Ipswich might not be the worst move in the world for him though he might be better negotiating with Southampton to trigger his 1 year option. If they manage his injuries the way they have done in the second half of the season they’ll get plenty of goals from him and could go up automatically.
