Live streaming platform unveiled for global EFL fans...

The list in the link is games that are NOT on ifollow as they've been selected to be shown on TV internationally. Should be able to find streams of those games if they're not on in the country you live in.

Ah, apologies, you're right, that's exactly what it is - the games you can't watch. Caught me out, that - it's a bit like 'here's what you could have won' on Bullseye (cue three blokes pushing a speedboat away...).

In which case, we should be able to buy the game this weekend.

pal in states just tried to order the game but won't let him ? thinks maybe you have to wait until closer to kick off ?

Yeah appears in 'match centre' apparently. Had a good rake around and it's got to be closer to the day.

There's virtual credit cards that say they don't have a billing address, like entropay based in Malta, give one a go.

Looks good as it's a visa, right? So then I'm guessing find a vpn based in Malta and you're good to go.

Are you signing up to the EFL thing marra? Don't fancy helping me sort it out do you?

I signed up for a free account on NCFC website and because i'm overseas I will (hopefully) be given the option to buy a pass come Sunday.

I think being based in the UK you'd be able to sign up for the same account, but unless you use a VPN and a foreign bank account to buy then you won't be given the option of buying the matchday pass. If there's a way I could help you sort it drop me a PM and let me know!

I'm assuming I will have to sign up through a different club website every weekend, and hope they offer match-by-match. Total mess on, thanks SAFC.

Agreed - their reason for not getting it was along the lines of not wanting us expats to have to pay. It's costs me 800 a pop a fly home for games, and I see around five or six a year, usually...

I reckon people as long as people have a VPN they should be fine - when I'm doing stuff that needs me to be in the UK (spotify, for example), the Visa card has always been fine, as long as I have a VPN on.

Also, we're going to get spammed by every club in the EFL once we've signed up to all these bloody sites...

So if I managed to get a VPN sorted, then signed upto Norwich's website, i would be able to pay using a 'fake' card and random address generator, all for £5 to watch the game? Do you not need to pay the £45 fee or anything?

Just did this too. Wonder whether the iFollow system will figure out people are doing this and stop you - that you can't register more than once with more than one club, so once we've registered through Norwich it won't let us register through anyone else. Benefits them to turn a blind eye for the match passes revenue

I've been thinking about this too and while I don't know the definitive answer, I can't see any reason why the clubs who have signed up or EFL/ifollow would care if you had a subscription for every club, even if you aren't a fan of them.

The account is just an email linked account and costs them nothing while every team gets an extra 5quid income for each person who does it for something they'd be streaming anyway. I don't know how or why they'd implement a policy where you HAVE to be a Norwich fan (for example) to sign up for their service.

The only party I could see being unhappy is the clubs who haven't signed up for ifollow or their own service. If they're upset the solution is simple.....sign up and offer your own fans the service.

Got a reply from ifollow support. Match day pass should be available.

"Dear Matt,

Thank you for contacting iFollow Support.

Match Day Pass will give you access to the match’s Live Video and/or Live Audio Commentary for the duration of the stream not intended for On-Demand purposes. Live Video is based on your geo-location outside the UK & Ireland region (incl. N. Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands & Isle of Man) which Sky has the broadcasting rights.

How to purchase:
On the Day of the Match,
Go to Matches menu item then click on Fixtures,
On the Fixtures page you will click on Match Centre for the match you are interested in,
Then you will see Buy a Match Pass if the club is offering the package.

Regards,
Jordan, iFollow Support"

So this is through the iFollow site directly rather than having to sign up with each club's website?

How annoying would that be if SAFC decides to have a change of heart come New Year and join the iFollow thing as well.

When will the football authorities get in to the 21st century

Why can someone with probably no affinity to safc watch every game

While die hards like me who don't gan away anymore can't
Because they think we will bend over and take it.

can someone give an answer to the above question ?

on the day of the match - is he saying do this on Ifollow site or the cxlub site ( in this case Norwich FC ) ??

What a f***ing clart on.

"Clart on" is absolutely right.

Someone said earlier that the NASA had raised the issue with Steve Dean of the Branch Liason commitee and they'd be talking with the club about it.

Wonder if there's been any update on that front? Steve is a good bloke and I'm sure he'd want to try to help supporters all over the world be able to watch the games in the same way he helps loads of people attend away matches by securing tickets etc.

The only issue is I don't know how hard supporter groups feel comfortable pushing if the club won't listen.

This situation is utterly ridiculous and unnecessary. It's an exercise in not only making overseas supporters frustrated on a weekly basis but also turning away revenue. It's right out of the "How not to run a football club" manual which Short can recite chapter and verse.

Chris Waters got a heapload of emails I think with fans voicing dissatisfaction with the current plan.

The club is well aware of the widespread negative sentiment I'm sure.

It's also likely Ellis does not consider the revenue outlay necessary for a decent offering a needed expenditure and therefore nothing will be done...
