The Championship will be shown on TV3 Sport 1 and 2. The Saturday 3pm matches (if it is the same as the season just gone) will be shown on Viaplay mostly. Viasat have the broadcasting rights to The Championship till 2022. From 2018 they also have the broadcasting rights to the FA Cup. 6eren currently broadcast forty matches from the FA Cup but when Viasat take over in 2018 that number will go up to 80-something each season. From the FA Cup alone. From this coming season they also have the rights to broadcast matches from League One.

You can see a full list of their Scandinavian broadcasting rights fully 2017 up-dated here :

Edit: And you can always keep an eye on the telly schedule as well. This one is rather good:

both channels on my IPTV package, happy days.

That's what I said, yes. Chinese commentary, but the camera feeds were from the SKY cameras.

How many subscribers do you think this service will generate from Sunderland, all paying £1? Do you think it will be viable for whoever is running the service at that price?

Isn't the point that the service is for people who don't live in the UK? Yes, that's what I thought it was about.

Now, run along. there's a good chap. Goodnight sir!

Absolutely clueless.

I reckon you'd struggle to get 20K sign ups from abroad. £20K maximum to cover all of the operating costs. For 23 games a year.

I live in the UK but now on the South Coast - home games are a thing of the past really (did have a season ticket when living closer) I would happily pay the price of a season ticket to stream legally in high quality (HD or 4K) directly from the club - throw in an away offer of say another £100 and I would buy it and scrap Sky etc (which is part of the reason it wont happen any time soon as they wont allow it)

I thought the structure was there for games anyway as they record all championship games - for the teams to use and for TV to cut in to highlights

Yeah, but now they have to stream it and host it live (with commentary and other production) for thousands of viewers. All paying £1 for the whole season according to the poster above.

Sorry yes £1 a game does not make sense but I would suspect it would be more than that in reality. Commentary can be taken from the radio easily enough with just a royalty I suspect

Of course it would be, I was just showing the idiocy of the poster above. For good production values and the expected stream quality £100 is good value.

As stated above I am in the UK and would pay £3-500 so yes £100 is very good value

In time for the 2017/18 season, the EFL has improved the PlayerHD service, which has been relaunched and renamed iFollow.

As part of your club's new website iFollow will provide overseas fans with the opportunity to live stream up to 46 live league games featuring their club within the regular EFL season. Season passes are now available for the equivalent of £110.

Fans based in the UK and Ireland will still have access to live audio commentary, as well as extended highlights and exclusive behind the scenes videos in HD, across desktop, mobile, tablet and app. Existing PlayerHD subscribers have automatically joined iFollow whilst new subscriptions, costing as little as £4.49 a month, are now available.

Select your club from the list below and sign up today!

Please note that the iFollow service is only available to clubs playing in the EFL during the 2017/18 season and who have opted in to utilise the iFollow platform. Those clubs who have not will have access to the same live streaming opportunity and will be able to provide their fans with access through their own club digital services. We are therefore unable to provide subscriptions to fans of Accrington Stanley, Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Brighton and Hove Albion, Bristol City, Charlton Athletic, Derby County, Fulham, Leeds United, Leyton Orient, Newcastle United, QPR and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Please contact your club for more information.

No idea why the article mentions teams that went up for but I'm presuming our games will be able to be streamed.

When you look on the drop-down list we aren't on it

Fuck sake. Didn't see that. What a load of shite that the club have obviously opted out. Unless the three relegated sides haven't been added yet
