Hopefully it doesn't matter as if the team we are playing against has opted in then there will be a stream and hopefully sites like sportsmania will pick them all up
 
If it's streaming overseas you can bet it will be streaming here in some way or another. Usually use SportsMania although it's ran out now like but if it was to pick up the games again I will resubscribe.

With us not being on either the list who have 'opted out' or 'subscribed' I guess we either haven't made our own mind up yet or will do something of our own.

Either way the quote above suggests that regardless of using iFollow or not, each club will have something to offer

i'm not sure how this works then, if a club is allowed to do their own broadcast would it still to only be available to fans in other countries? i'd assume so but seems like dodgy ground.

this is a fair point like :lol::lol: not sure how one club can say 'we don't want to be broadcast in this way' but the club they're playing do.

should work the same way as the NBA pass does, you can sign up to subscribe to the league, then every game is available rather than each individual club does it's own. imo

From what I read about this a few weeks ago, your subscription is only good for your club's stream. Meaning we could only get what SAFC offers us and not the opposing club's stream or even just check out a random match involving other clubs.

It doesn't sound very well planned out.
 
Maybe yous haven't signed up (if true) due to a concern that your attendances would drop as it would be very naive to think it's not a possibility.

A survey of over 1,600 such fans showed that 73% would be very likely or quite likely to subscribe to a live match streaming service and almost half would be happy to pay an annual subscription fee to do so.

The findings suggest over 55% of the EFL’s fans are located in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand where the potential audience for the iFollow platform could reach into the hundreds of thousands.

EFL Chief Executive Shaun Harvey commented: “The launch of iFollow is a notable development and will revolutionise the access thousands of overseas fans enjoy when following their EFL team.

“The new iFollow platform represents a potentially significant new revenue stream for clubs, while enabling enhanced engagement with existing fans now living abroad.

“iFollow will also present the EFL with an important opportunity to stimulate the interest of new groups of supporters who follow our clubs overseas, which in turn will help support the growth of our competitions on the international stage.”

Been getting streamed for the last 10 years and the only thing to affect our attendances was piss poor performances.

This myth that people don't go to games when they can watch it at home is just that.

If we didn't have gutless players and a manager that could make Ghandi want to kill, they wouldn't drop.

In time for the 2017/18 season, the EFL has improved the PlayerHD service, which has been relaunched and renamed iFollow.

As part of your club's new website iFollow will provide overseas fans with the opportunity to live stream up to 46 live league games featuring their club within the regular EFL season. Season passes are now available for the equivalent of £110.

Fans based in the UK and Ireland will still have access to live audio commentary, as well as extended highlights and exclusive behind the scenes videos in HD, across desktop, mobile, tablet and app. Existing PlayerHD subscribers have automatically joined iFollow whilst new subscriptions, costing as little as £4.49 a month, are now available.

I think I got 1 game that wasn't shown on sky of ours last season over here on Bein sports

I just stream sky through a VPN as sometimes even the games on sky aren't shown on Bein.
