Lets All Laugh At Newcastle (Again!)

Of course other results matter. We forget we stayed up when we lost at Notts County, and we didn't get promoted when we won dramatically at Wrexham.

Even under the Di Canio revival we became safe after Wigan lost at Arsenal, and we then went on to lose at Tottenham.

This unbeaten run of the Mags is a big threat, and Norwich will keep fighting. We know we need to get as many points as possible, and it is still in our hands, but our rivals fouling up would obviously improve our chances.

Because "it's in our own hands". Or has it actually dawned on everybody that we need Newcastle to drop points because we won't take maximum points from our remaining games?

Your maths aren't really adding up for me tbh.

It's all conjecture but you can understand the reasoning. Spurs could be massively deflated after finally realising their title dream is over. Chelsea, while having a desperately disappointing season by their standards, have picked up under Hiddink, are playing attractive football free from any pressure. Their players just appear to be enjoying their football which is a real warning sign for us, who on yesterday's showing appear almost paralysed by nerves.

Ah so Spurs will have nowt to play for, er just like Chelsea.

It's all just down to negativity, end of.

True, teams at the bottom are there because they don't win many games. Teams rely on others not winning as getting results themselves.

You forget one thing. Last season, by Christmas, Newcastle had thirty odd points and looked more than safe from relegation, yet they ended up scrapping it out at the bottom of the table. This year they continued the dismal run up until the appointment of a new manager. If they continue their current form then there is no reason why they shouldn't pick up at least four points from their next two games.

Sunderland need to get their act together if they want to survive.

Ok, we're unlikely to take 7 points from our remaining games and if newcastle do take 6 more points we'd still need 3 wins to be mathematically certain.

If we win all of our games then whatever the mags do is irrelevant.
We won't though, so we need them to drop points.

It just doesn't add up that Newcastle win will 3 games in a row ;)

Nothings change for weeks any 2 from 3, the only difference now is Norwich is looking more likely than not to be 1 of the 2.

Us especially should know its a lottery and anything can happen, maybe this year we have run out of luck who knows. Just take it at a game at a time. It wouldn't be the strangest thing is they get beat off Villa but then beat Spurs.

You never know mate.

7 points will see us stay up. No matter what they do. So no, not over bothered.

I see no reason why mags will do any better in their game against Spurs than we will in our game against Chelsea. In fact we are playing a shitter, less motivated team than mags are.

Well lets hope Sam and lads concentrate on themselves and not worry about other scores..or who will roll over or not as it really makes no difference as if we win,win and win We'll be fine...

But we won't win, win and win. We need newcastle to drop points. The attitude of "not worrying about other scores " is absurd.
