If we beat Chelsea yes.....not a draw to much pressure to win two in a row....So you're confident of 7 points then?

I can't understand how everyone can see Newcastle beating Spurs but can't see us beating Chelsea.
Because "it's in our own hands". Or has it actually dawned on everybody that we need Newcastle to drop points because we won't take maximum points from our remaining games?
It's all conjecture but you can understand the reasoning. Spurs could be massively deflated after finally realising their title dream is over. Chelsea, while having a desperately disappointing season by their standards, have picked up under Hiddink, are playing attractive football free from any pressure. Their players just appear to be enjoying their football which is a real warning sign for us, who on yesterday's showing appear almost paralysed by nerves.
True, teams at the bottom are there because they don't win many games. Teams rely on others not winning as getting results themselves.
Ok, we're unlikely to take 7 points from our remaining games and if newcastle do take 6 more points we'd still need 3 wins to be mathematically certain.Your maths aren't really adding up for me tbh.
We won't though, so we need them to drop points. If we win all of our games then whatever the mags do is irrelevant.

Yeah, therefore we are counting on them dropping points. It just doesn't add up that Newcastle win will 3 games in a row![]()
If we can beat Man U at home we can beat ChelseaI can't understand how everyone can see Newcastle beating Spurs but can't see us beating Chelsea.
You never know mate.Ok, we're unlikely to take 7 points from our remaining games and if newcastle do take 6 more points we'd still need 3 wins to be mathematically certain.

Definitely this. If there's only 2 points between Arsenal and Spurs on the last day Spurs will be desperate not to lose-their goal difference is much better than Arsenals.Spurs will want to finish above Arsenal and Harry Kane will want to finish premier league top scorer.
This is what I'm hoping for. I think we're due a big three points at home in a crunch match (against a top side). Lots of draws recently. If we can beat Man U at home we can beat Chelsea
Stoke had nowt to play for and neither did Palace yesterday. Those games, but for two penalty kicks, could have had very different results.
But we won't win, win and win. We need newcastle to drop points. The attitude of "not worrying about other scores " is absurd.Well lets hope Sam and lads concentrate on themselves and not worry about other scores..or who will roll over or not as it really makes no difference as if we win,win and win We'll be fine...
