Lets All Laugh At Newcastle (Again!)

I can't understand how everyone can see Newcastle beating Spurs but can't see us beating Chelsea.

It's all conjecture but you can understand the reasoning. Spurs could be massively deflated after finally realising their title dream is over. Chelsea, while having a desperately disappointing season by their standards, have picked up under Hiddink, are playing attractive football free from any pressure. Their players just appear to be enjoying their football which is a real warning sign for us, who on yesterday's showing appear almost paralysed by nerves.

People seem to be forgetting Spurs are very likely going to have nothing to play for come the last day of the season, every chance the Mags could get something from that game. If our fans are saying we'll beat Chelsea and Everton at home, there's little reason why they won't do the same to Spurs.
If Spurs lose v Chelsea they will still be playing for second, city or arsenal could still catch them, they could end up fourth n qualifying spot for champs league.

What do Everton, Chelsea and Watford have left to play for?

The difference between Everton and Watford and spurs is that, even if they're not that bothered, Spurs could be far too good for the Mags. The gulf between them and Watford is alarming.

Stoke had nowt to play for and neither did Palace yesterday. Those games, but for two penalty kicks, could have had very different results.

Because "it's in our own hands". Or has it actually dawned on everybody that we need Newcastle to drop points because we won't take maximum points from our remaining games?
Yes
Should always be in our on hands

Mind saying that We should've been safe after the norwich match

I think pressure has got to Spurs a bit. They could play better if the race is over.

I'm not particularly bothered, I mean it's pretty obvious that I hope they lose them both and I'd be very surprised if they win them both. Realistically they'll get anywhere between 1 and 4pts. If we get our shit together and beat Chelsea it puts us in a huge position going into the last week of the season. That's all I care about really, let's beat Chelsea and see where we stand.

Well it's looking more and more that we need Newcastle to drop points, if they win their games then we need to win all of ours which is very unlikely when we only have 1 main goalscorer. Benitez has them playing well and playing for each other, it could go either way but if we can win 2 games we have every chance but yesterdays performance was worrying.

Who ever gets relegated deserves to be relegated.

We do not need maximum points from our 3 matches. 2 wins & a draw plus Norwich drawing 1 of there remaining 3 matches...
