Leicester Supporters After

It helps if (like leicester) you can keep the bulk of the squad together while also making serious money with the sales of Barnes and Maddison to recruit.

Look at Burnley last year and Norwich & Albion previously.
The only answer I can think of is, parachute payments are a “bonus” and those that sell are only entitled to a % based on that.

Was a good game I thought, we should have scored more but then again so should you.

Was impressed with some of your play, I watched your warm up pre-match and there was a lot of work on little triangles and fast movement patterns and you could see that several times during the match.

Roberts, Clarke, Neil & Ballard all looked good I thought, might aswell not have had a striker playing. I didn't even notice him. Sort that position out and you should be banging goals in for fun.

Don't know who was marking Justin but I've not seen us score a header direct from a set piece as easy in years.

Looks like you've got a team that will at least give 100% and not give up, that's surely a major bonus after your last few years since being in the PL.

Cheers. The club and the squad are very much work-in-progress since the new ownership took control. But yes compared to some of the failures and over the hill last pay packet merchants who have worn the strip these lads are a huge lung full of fresh air. Heads never drop, nobody ever hides, everyone wants the ball. We have a very young but also very talented group. Chris Rigg who came on for Ekwah just turned 16 in June and could arguably be starting games We also have quite a number of players out injured still.

You have highlighted the glaring issue we have and that is the striker role, the Ukraine international we signed in the summer Rusyn has not been given a go yet and needs to. The lad last night, Mason Burstow is a loan from Chelsea and has managed 1 shot on target in 8 games. We got away with no Striker throughout most of last season (Ross Stewart missed about 33 games injured) because we had a ÂŁ40M winger/forward on loan from Man United, Diallo who was arguably the best player in the Championship last season.

I haven't enjoying watching a team in years. Fuck the premier league where you are just treading water and spending millions in the process to do it. This team are young, enthusiastic and play some lovely football at times. That will do for me

To be fair, I did mention that whilst Roberts is exciting to watch, he’s produced the square route of fuck all this season.

I was extremely frustrated with him tonight. I can see why they thought he was good though. Always in the verge of something fantastic. For us, never quite getting there.
Roberts in a nutshell. Becoming a bit of a fraud unfortunately.

I was just thinking similar, I have never been to the King Power but went to Filbert Street many times, it wasn't the friendliest of away grounds I ever visited

Old school ground.

Many away supporters travelling to Roker Park back in the day experienced similar hostilities.

Even after we moved to our brand new shiny stadium away supporters were potentially in for a rough ride when they were housed in the South Stand. The likes of Man U & Leeds were besieged in the stadium one year while police cleared the area outside.

It's all calm and sociable now other than the odd incident here & there.

I worked with someone from Leicester who used to be a cage fighter in Brazil in the 1990's when I didn't have a clue what that was. His marra told me when he got back for Leicester games he used to go with a car load and get in altercations with a mini bus full of other fans and knock fuck out them. Told me about a time when he went Leeds and they got set on by about 15 lads and he'd knocked about five of them out before anyone else had a chance to throw a punch.
About 50 of them jumped a mini bus full of us on the way back from Derby in the mid 90s at a service station.
We took a bit of a kicking but not too bad.

I don’t think we were man marking on corners in the first half - just assuming that because Jobe was nowhere near anyone when he managed to jump all of 5cm when he missed the header. Was still a good header from Justin mind.

Thought your midfield were very good. Winks keeps things ticking over, Dewsbury-Hall is very positive, but the one I was most impressed by was Cassadei (or however you spell it). Is he on loan or on a permanent deal?

The lack of good striker for us is going to really impact our chances if we don’t get Diallo back. I’d drop Burstow ASAP if I were Mowbray but he seems to constantly start him when fit for some reason - despite the fact he offers fuck all other than running around out of possession.

Because the Premiership gave them all those lovely millions to spend. More than most in the Championship have. Parachute payments are a joke. It needs to stop.
But the parachute payments have nothing to do with us being top. Through 9 successful years of being in the premier League we obviously accumulated millions we earned by being there. We also, naturally, accumulated premier league quality players all over our squad, and sold two of them for nigh on ÂŁ80 million this summer which we have spent about half on plugging the gaps made by departures. It's pretty obvious clubs that have been in the prem for years are going to have an advantage, we were never going to sell our entire team and buy shit replacements.

I might add that we have added a first class coach who plays brilliant football and has changed the whole mentality of the club in a matter of months.

You were decent last night, it was refreshing to see a side come here and have a go instead of parking 11 in the goal. Boths sides missed big chances I think we just about edged it, but you're a good club and it would be nice to see you get back up.

He literally has to run the ball into the net to score apart from the twice a season curler
