Leicester forum - Championship thread

Don't worry not taking it personally. Just seems so many people are only happy if one of the 'big 6' win a league/cup.
The Premier League is a waste of time because only state owned financial black holes of teams can win anything. Your win was a wonderful aberration everyone enjoyed, but it won't happen to anyone else ever again. The best thing that could happen is the Super League is formed and they all bugger off and give us all our football back or the FA grow some and start regulating things better.

You won't agree but the Championship is much more exciting. More games, more fun, more chance of winning, fewer foregone conclusions. You just run to survive in the Premier League - waste of time really. I'm assuming we're going to be promoted in the next few years and I can't say I'm looking forward to it. No doubt there'll be to odd great day, but mostly we'll just survive and at best skirt with the Inter-Toto Cup.

The owner doesn't want to bankroll the club anymore since the previous one died. Their better players will be sold so it'll be interesting to see who they bring in.
It will be interesting and if we don’t manage to go back up all I hope is that football is better than the crap we had in the last 18 months under Rodgers and that there is more effort and passion from whoever is in the shirt.

Yep we utterly fluked our way through a 38 game season, losing just 3 times in the process.

Really can't understand the animosity from some people.
Ignore it mate. I work at Caterpillar and know loads of brilliant Leicester fans who’ve followed the club through all the ups and downs.

You were the first game I looked for on fixtures day. Gutted it’s on a bloody Tuesday night.

Yep, although I'm not expecting us to go up I'm looking forward to a few different teams to face. It does go stale after a while. One of my favourite seasons (and the season I went to most away games) was the League One season, nothing but fond memories of that.

But I imagine it can be a drag after more than one season!

If we can get between £5-£7m I’d say that’s great business.

Coadys PL career is over. Too slow, poor positioning and struggles to read the game.

We was brilliant when we first got promoted but he’s Championship level at best now

Sounds fair enough.
I’d have thought he would still be easily still decent at the level.

Don’t get me wrong I think he will be a good signing for them and if we had gone down I would of hoped we kept him at Wolves.

If Leicester go up next season Coady will be the first play they would need to be looking to upgrade.

And did their stint in league one.

They can at least claim to be the second biggest club in the East Midlands
Can one of you lot please try to explain the obsession with “size” and “big club” that seems to be so important to a lot of Sunderland supporters?
I’m comfortable with what we are or aren’t.
Not saying I agree for a minute but seeing as it seems such a “thing” for many on here I would like you to know that outside of Durham probably a good 80% ( or more) of the country would have Newcastle down as the “bigger” of you two and it could be because they are ignorant of all the facts and is lazy .
Leicester ? “Tin Pot? Small?
Whatever makes you feel good

It’s something I don’t get mate. Based on trophies won in the PL era, Leicester piss on safc and NUFC put together. Even before the PL win I can remember Leicester being in the League cup final for what seemed like every other season.

I know but merely having player assets and parachute payments puts you ahead of the rest. I don’t see them walking the League like Burnley mind

Size of a club (at least to me) is how many major trophies a team has won throughout its existence. Based upon this Sunderland are a decently sized club.

I think it's just a reaction from a few people to the slightly arrogant take on your forum. I wouldn't worry about it.

Cheers
It’s not really how you define it that puzzles me , everybody will have their own criteria I suppose .It’s more a bit of curiosity why it seems so important to a lot on here.
So and so aren’t as “big” as us etc.
?

Only feels like yesterday when little Swindon dismantled the Black Cats and the Foxes at Wembley.

Matters for nothing.
What is really important is that both Leicester and Sunderland have the support and infrastructure to sustain Premiership football. The task now to build a squad capable of getting back there.

Roll call for Colchester away first game - 3 here (how shite is that).

Back to training tomorrow, no new signings, season tickets available to collect from the shop and it’s closed and we have to find a £500k cost reduction from operating costs.
League One support, National League ambition. Be careful what you wish for.

The mags are a much bigger club than us, so what?

We are a bigger club than Boro but who really cares.

We are a decent sized club, an upper championship club.
