Leicester forum - Championship thread

To be fair I can see why some are bordering on arrogant, league cups, FA cup, premier league christ I’d kill for one league cup.

Every club has an element of their fan base that is self entitled, arrogant so Leicester are no different. One thing is for certain is this is always a tough league and regardless of a players past if they aren’t up for the fight they’ll go nowhere very quickly (as we well know with our first year in league 1)

Some of our fans are like that believing that we should be some premiership club, and have shown much arrogance over the years, especially dropping down to league 1 where we thought we would absolutely piss the league a lot of their words echo the same type of statements some of our supporters said.

They, just like we did, will get a hell of a shock. This coming season I can see as being hard for a lot of teams, some big clubs in the league.

When I was a lad growing up they were just a meh club . I would t have believed you if you told me they won the league in my lifetime .
Aren’t they still a bit of meh club? Just the impression I get.
Definitely. Suppose O'Neill was first to put them on map. Two league cups in quick succession wasn't bad at all.
Still gutted at that league cup game.

To be fair most of them on there seem ok. We’d have some like that if we’d won the Premier 7 years ago. I mean; we’ve almost got a few like that on here anyway and we’ve won fuck all for 50 years ;)
"We are by far the biggest club in this league, both currently and historically. We also get the best crowds. We should be absolutely walking this league and if we don't we need answers."
No defending that one mind

Last time I was at Leicester was when we beat them NYD in the championship under keane and they must have had about 9000 in the ground. Yes they were at a low point in their history and on their way to league one but when we were in the same position a few years ago we had 3x that amount.

Seem a bit full of themselves, however they must understand one main rule you have to earn your points in this league...

I went to Filbert Street with a Leicester mate of mine back in about 97.
I was in the 'home' end with my mate and they were not enjoying the game at all. Their left back was absolutely terrible.
The crowd started singing "ten men! We've only got ten men". After an absolute age, the manager took the hint and subbed the poor lad off.
I believe his career went down the toilet after that. The Leicester 'fans' completely broke him.
Neil Lewis? think that was his last match for us.
