Leicester City

We have money to spend but very little room to manoeuvre on wages.

Think Rodgers was counting on shifting the plethora of deadwood (A lot of which was signed by him) but unsurprisingly no one wants our shite. Recruitment has been very poor since he demanded more of a say and brought in Congerton - who has thankfully now been squeezed out.

Rumours Kasper could be on his way to Nice which as one of our top earners would give a bit of leeway but leave a massive hole in character and leadership.

Several players need to go but who is going to take then?

Vestergaard, Bertrand, Perez, Soumare, Choudhury etc.

Everyone was expecting Tielemans to go also but Arsenal seem to be flirting but then signing other players and a very poor season from him last year has perhaps not given him as many options as he thought he'd have.

Very happy with our starting eleven if they can stay free of injury and a lot less congestion without Europe but if the injuries pile up again we could well struggle. Injuries another thing that we were great at managing before Rodgers came, he then forced out our Head Physio and it went to pot.
I keep an eye on Leicester as I work at Caterpillar in Desford and most of my workmates are Leicester supporters.

Congerton was at Sunderland circa 2014 and filled our squad with substandard shite. He was the man who lumbered us with Jack Rodwell.

No idea what he has on Rodgers but he seems to follow him around from club to club. Rodgers is obviously a talented coach but his record in the transfer market is poor in my opinion. He blew the money Liverpool received from Barcelona for Luis Suarez on shite from what I remember.

Do you know a lad called Sibbo? works in the paint dept.

That's Kasper away. Who will be their keeper this weekend? Ward?
He's not played all pre-season as he's been injured. Iversen likely to start.
Chelsea enquire for Wesley Fofana and Leicester reportedly demand £85m for him
If Maguire is worth £80m (he's not) then Fofana should be treble that. He will be a massive star.
Can't wait for the window to close.

I’m concerned about Leicester. Obviously I don’t think they will be anywhere near the drop zone but this is the first summer in a while where they look like they’ll stagnate if not go backwards.

Wolves have been quiet too.

Don’t even think wolves have a striker at the moment. Jimenez injured and they sent Fabio silva out on loan

We’ve got no money to spend. Liverpool are paying for Jota in Brighthouse-style instalments and I believe the Chinese government are trying to restrict foreign spending, so Fosun aren’t investing.

Lack of a striker is concerning but we’ve still got Hwang I suppose. Not sold on Neto, great player but been injured a lot. The FPL community have been hyping him beyond belief too.

Meant to be moving to a back 4 but we’ll see how long that experiment lasts

"Peter Taylor levels of dislike for this man now."

"Devoid of ideas, without passion and workrate, poor game management again, comical defending and a complete lack of confidence.
If this loss gets Rodgers gone, i'll accept it as a neccessary evil. We seriously need to shake this club up on the pitch, on far too many occasions in the last 18 months, probably more often than not we have been performing with less passion and drive than the end of the Puel days.
Embarrassing, we all knew it was coming, everyone in the ground saw it coming.... Seemingly except one man.
Completely outmanaged by a manager and team on a fraction of the wage, even seeing Hassenhuttls reaction at the end puts us to shame. "

"Worse than what Puel served up at the end of his tenure."

"He HAS to go. Him and his staff. "

"Just go away Brendan, take your "coaching" team, Youri and Wes with you. They are not playing for him anymore and his treatment of players is abysmal "

"If we don't sack the manager, we are down, it really is as black and white as that."

"Sack. He's gonna take us down. "

"I’ve backed Rodgers until now and he’s done some great things at the club but enough is enough-it’s time to go. Top-do what you have to do today"

"We are going down if he stays"

"Going to need new players and a new manager otherwise we're down. In big trouble. Too little hunger, and, Ward and Amartey not good enough to be regular starters in a Premier league side that wants to survive. "

"Goodbye Brendan. Dont forget to collect your blood money on the way out."

"Where are these absolute idiots that keep saying top 6 or 8 ? We are going down you clowns and I’m going to bang a wedge on it now before the odds drop"

"Clearly not good enough
get the clown gone and get a manager who can motivate
as for that poison Fofana that snake can rot"

"Of course he’s waiting for the sack - he's clearly going through the motions with a view to get himself sacked so he can walk away with the kind of golden handshake that would make a city banker blush.
it’s absolutely clear to anyone he’s really just not interested, you only have to watch him on the touch line (de)motivating players"

"It's hopeless. And it will remain so as long as BR is on the bench. He's lost the plot a good while ago... Looked like a toddler lost in the woods in post Brentford interview. How long can this go on, it looks the same every week. Time for Top to appoint a new manager to apply shock treatment to this team. Only that could wake up the footballers in them."
